Ok, perhaps it isn't a good time to meet her now......

Anyway, this is a return gift to ~XD-385 for being the first deviant that gave me a birthday gift...... and the only deviant that gave me a birthday gift this year . Drawing one of his characters....

Though I don't know much bout "Ruby", She appears to be a Lucario, though she lacks the spikes on the back of her paws and the spike on her chest. And yes, a Lucario looks something like this... Very antro to begin with...... that's why I didn't put this pic under "Antro" cause technically it isn't one.


Original pic was drawn on my chem lecture notes when I was bored...... and was HIDEOUSLY hard to clean up. ( Original drawing was here: [link] ) Was a bit inspired, though was experimenting with action effects..... cause I'll be using some of these effects soon if I am making a PROPER comic..... other than the Undivided mess.

Also cause Lucarios are Fighting pokemon and so deserve a cool fighting pose. Though I am not quite sure what this particular move is..... but it just looks cool.

I donno what I was thinkin making the background...... but was just messin with photoshop's filters again.

Thanks. Though still can't pin down what move she's using...... perhaps you may know more.

Ideas so far were focus punch, mega punch and mach punch.

Though "Ruby" isn't exactly a normal Lucario either. You'd probably notice why.

I'd think Mega Punch. xD. Mach punch is a bit further ranged and Mega Punch just kicks ass >_> XD

Thanks This was one of the odd pics that was heavily inspired when I first heard that Lucario's are a fighting/steel type....... and I was also extremely bored when doing it. So that's why the attack pose was very dynamic.

And after reading one of ~XD-385's fanfics, I figure that as a fighting type she should be able to pull off some cool move.

Though she's the first time I'm actually doing a Lucario.

Still donno what move she's using though

Hmmm..... Perhaps extreme speed? Lucarios learn that move at LV 50 or so..... Nah, she's probably not that experienced.

though you should have her doin something as cool as this in your story. It's only fitting for a fighting type.

Looks really good!
One suggestion on the background since you're playing with Photoshop... if you gave those blue lines a Gaussian blur, it might make them look more "action-y". Just a sugegstion!

FILTER>BLUR>GAUSSIAN BLUR

Give it a try sometime! You may have to adjust the settings to get it to look like how you want, but it's a handy, handy tool.

Normal blur isn't very strong. Gaussian blur really messes things up, but in a good way... hehehe

I think you'll find it still can't do what Gaussian blur does. You can adjust the settings on Gaussian blur and get something diffused to the point where it's barely recognizable. This technique is used by a lot of space artists to make nebulae, etc. You can't get that effect with Blur or Blur More.
