Description
Here's the second of two "reference" images for my flaeme (demoness) remake. This one's more story-oriented, describing how flaemes disguise themselves, a simple size comparison, and a detailed explanation of which characters can effectively fight others.There are a couple of questions included that I hope you'll share your opinions on! I like to try and tweak the story whenever I get a practical suggestion from a viewer, and your ideas are always appreciated!

I hadn't really thought about their voices, but they're probably slightly 'unearthly' when not in disguise. I had not planned on having Elemarae smoke because there are already at least four that do fairly often (Jakkae, Kisae, Pype, and Rinraeko).

Taller ... I think it shows more power and gives a nice addition of suspense whether Smacky will win. (Of course she will!)

I fully second Mavrosh's approval. I think the height difference adds another lovely layer of contrast. Dark skin vs light skin, athletic vs pampered and curvy, short vs tall. It also adds another level of 'humiliation' of sorts for the demonesses that they keep getting one-sidedly dominated by the short and skilled Smacky.

Thanks, I've always liked that contrast too. It's also why I've kind of avoided giving them weapons or making them look more muscular or strong; I want it to seem possible that they could be defeated fairly easily by a smaller heroine.

Agreed! In addition, making them look bigger at least makes it easier to take them seriously as supernatural creatures. All the sexiness associated with their voluptuous bodies and harem fantasy wear aside... the fact that they breathe fire AND are taller than some of the tallest men gives them an air of formidability no matter how many times Smacky whomps them with her bare hands. I don't think it would look quite as impressive if they were simply at Smacky's height.

I don't think anyone's going to disagree with you, no one's told me to make them the same size as humans yet. In fact, some have wanted them to be even larger, but I need to keep them at least short enough so that Smacky's fists can still reach their chin once in a while.
One of them will be giant when she's remade though, but I haven't started on that yet.

Keep them taller. When their true nature is revealed, not only will tail and wings burst forth of them but they will also grow. I really like this idea.

Thanks very much! That's been how I've imagined it for quite a while now (I like the idea that Smacky can defeat multiple larger enemies), but I've been a bit unsure as to how large they should actually be.

I have a character with demonc heritage as well and he is actually also a lot bigger than humans. Why not, I really like the idea, even more with female characters.
