The rune on her eye glowed to life, instantly locking onto the fleeing man's heart. She drew back her arm, the dagger poised as she prepared for the throw.
The man looked back, his face white with fear. The rune sent an electric charge, locking with her brain. A single tear trickled from her augmented eye.
The dagger blurred across the distance, then slammed directly into the man's heart. He fell silently.
She blinked away the tear. If asked, she would say it was from the charge of the rune.
