Description The Neptunes. One of the cards in the Myriorama that I made. Dive Bar seeks, with 22 cards, to create a truly immersive experience inspired by the pulp illustrations and paperback covers of the 1960’s utilizing the decidedly analog technique of the Myriorama of the 1800’s. Created by actor, poet and comic book artist R.Campbell, Dive Bar is the only Myriorama featuring comic book elements like captions and speech bubbles set in an underwater bar ever created.

About Myriorama
The name Myriorama is derived from the Greek words myrias, meaning “multitude,” and orama, meaning “scene” or “view.”
The original Myriorama was invented in France in1823 by Jean-Pierre Brés. Called a Tableau Polyoptique, it featured 16 cards replete with a continuous horizon with castles, ruins, rivers, lakes and wandering figures making their way across an ‘endless landscape” with 20,922,789,888,000 variations.
More versions were created and it quickly became a craze in Victorian England where there were reports of “Myriorama Addiction”.
Writers like Byron, Shelley and Bram Stoker were said to use Myriorama as a tool to plot their novels.
