Age: 45
Height: 6'3"
Birthday: 6 April
Species: Springbok
Type: Peppy
Occupation: Unemployed
Hobbies: Rugby, cooking, listening to music, tinkering
Personality: Rethabile is a very optimistic guy. He tries to look on the bright side to any situation no matter how bad and does his best to make sure those around him are happy. He's very caring towards his friends and even moreso to family, willing to do just about anything for them. That doesn't mean he's a pushover though. If you're gonna try and walk all over him or just be incredibly rude, he will not have any of it and tell you firmly but kindly that what you're doing will not slide.
History: Rethabile was the only child to a woman, Nthabiseng. His father, according to her, left one day and never came back so she had to raise Rethabile on her own. He spent his life, watching as his mother work hard to provide for the both of them in admiration. He wanted to help his mother best he could so, when he was about 11, he learned how to cook and clean, so she wouldn't have to after a long day of work. And, it became a responsiblity of his, right up until the end of his tertiary education.
During the first year of highschool, Rethabile discovered rugby and instantly fell in love with the sport. He played it in the morning, before school, during breaks, he took it as an afterschool activity. He loved it to the point where he wanted to make a career out of it. His mother supported it, but only if he studied at university, as a fall-back.
He took a degree in engineering technology, which was related to another hobby of he enjoyed quite a lot, while joining the university rugby team, in the hopes of being noticed by a scout. And, he almost was. Unfortunately, the same day that was supposed to happen was the day his mother got sick and needed someone to stay home with her. So, he gave up the opportunity, to look after her. After that he didn't get many chances to prove himself and those where he did something would go wrong, leading him to be overlooked and having someone else from his team to get picked out. At first, it did hurt him, but he later thought that this had happened because maybe it wasn't meant to be. That he was needed at home, rather than out there on the field. He stayed on the team and participated in pactice and events, but also focused more on his studies so he could get a job if he really wasn't meant to be a rugby player. He wasn't unfortunately, but that didn't bother him as much since he still had a chance to do something else he enjoyed. After completing his degree, he stayed to look after his mother, while getting odd jobs here and there to support her as she once did for him. After some time, he found a solid job in a service technician and moved into a home of his own, making sure not to be too far, in case she needed him for anything.
During one of his field dispatches he met Nicole Govender, a receptionist at the place he was fixing for. Of course, he couldn't say anything to her during work hours...... that's why he came back after hours to see her! The two hit it off almost immediately and often saw each other during their free time. This went on for about 3 years before Rethabile final got down on one knee and popped the question. The two got married and, a year later, had a little girl named Sarah, and they started living their life as a happy family.
However, about 4 years after their daughter was born, Nicole fell ill. At first, it didn't seem like much of an issue. But days later, she was rushed to the hospital. She wasn't able to fight back the illness... Rethabile was devastated by the loss of his wife and the mother of their child and wasn't sure what to do for a while. It was around that time when Nicole's parents jumped in to help raise Sarah along with Rethabile's mother while he tried to get back on his feet. It took him a long time before he became close to himself again and he stepped in as the parent he is.
As time went on, the town he spent his life in suddenly felt significantly small as more and more old friends started leaving and felt there wasn't much of this place anymore for him. His mother encouraged him to travel and see new places, assuring him that she would be alright. So, he packed all his and his Sarah's things, said his goodbyes and set off to a new home
