over the summer i was listening to gz and alk talking about... suits and gas masks.they don't remember it. but i do.
i dont usually get that kind of image stuck in my head and stay with me for months... so this is it. i painted it in the last few days. made it more resident evil themed.
it's in full color, but i thought it looked better monochrome. maybe ill post the full color if you all want to see it.

it's not refined but i didnt feel like working on it anymore, my desktop for a week.

growing up here in pittsburgh made me really love zombies and for some reason i cant stop looking at this piece.
i just love the bleakness; which i guess is weird because im surrounded by it every day here, because in my city, the sun never shines.

I think it's because of the briefcase and tie-grabbing, but I am very reminded of the G-Man from Half-Life.
It's a sick painting, anyway. Your detail with light and shadow is phenomenal.

u know what i really like wats going on in u r head u r composition skill is getting better and better..this is very gud for a prelim render but one thing i like without any flaws is the perspective of background buildings it really looks neat

let's see about 15 visible zombies and a suitcase, yeah, no problem.
The grainy texture is a nice touch.
Very well drawn goes without sayin'. I especially like the buildin's (both back and foreground), you always draw them very well. The zombie shadows on the buildin' side seems off though what with the high fence.
I wonder why we guys like gas masks, makes ya wonder, huh?

haha, yea the shadows are off, i meant for it to be a setting sun, but it's still kind of high. in any case, i wanted the lighting to be kinda dramatic like that, so i sacrificed accuracy for it. oh well.
gas masks.... well if you like zombies, you gotta like gas masks too.

I always associated gas masks with Break dancing thanks to Gas-O from Bust a Groove. (Feels old). I actually bought a Gas Mask a while back as part of my zombie suit.

... literally, just sketched it out to get that texture (you're referring to the right wall i think?). haha. it's all brushwork using default photoshop brushes. i use the hard round brush at different opacities and colors, whole thing is done with this brush.

You say it's not refined, but I think the only things that needs any work at all are the two crows on the right. I like that everything else is unrefined (other than the suit and gas mask character, who is isolated to great effect). This is a great looking piece.
