Pinch couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Not only did Hylo get into a physical fight – when had that ever happened before? - No, he also got bitten. And didn’t tell anyone about it! What if the bite would get infected?

With a scowl, Pinch took a step closer. The pink Eelk didn’t even notice that his personal bubble was being invaded – something Pinch might never understand. But this time he was actually glad, that Hylo didn’t notice and question what he was doing. Because Pinch had the inkling, Hylo would then try to deflect him.

So he got a good glimpse at Hylo’s neck – and at the small indents made by his opponent’s teeth.

The fact that Hylo not only got hurt, but that Pinch could have missed it, made something twist in his stomach. Pinch didn’t have much choice in his friendship with the pink one, but he was glad that Hylo was persistent enough and that Pinch hadn’t managed to chase him away. And he wouldn’t stand by and let anyone simply hurt Hylo. Pinch shared a quick glance with Maw, who seemed to be on the same page.

Well, but before anything else they had to get an idiot to be taken care of. Hylo was still talking and rather than try and make the pink one actually stop for a moment, Pinch spared the energy and simply used his head to push Hylo forward.

Hylo didn’t strain against the push, but didn’t help along either. But, he did shut up to throw the yellow Eelk a confused glance. “What are you doing?”, Hylo asked. “You’re hurt.”, Pinch replied but the pink Eelk didn’t get it. “That? Oh, that’s nothing. It didn’t even bleed.”, Hylo waved his concerns away. Or tried, because Pinch wasn’t inclined to stop. “You are getting taking care of. End of discussion.”, Pinch growled.

The pink Eelk stopped arguing after that and let himself be pushed forward. Hylo thought it was unnecessary, but he was kind of touched that Pinch seemed to worry. So he let himself be pushed, but doesn’t help Pinch along or try to stop him.

Of course, Barnaby wasn’t happy when Pinch approached him, Hylo being shoved along and told him that the pink Eelk got hurt. Didn’t they just break up a fight between Hylo and Sagan? Didn’t both claim that it was just a bit of roughhousing? And now the pink one had a bite wound. But even questioned again, Hylo wouldn’t tell who had bit him – though it didn’t need a genius to figure it out, not that Barnaby could act on it without a solid proof – and even Pinch wouldn’t give him a name. Though Barnaby was pretty sure that Hylo might have confided into his yellow friend. Chipton and he better kept an eye on Hylo and Sagan.
