Description These technically should go in Scraps.... But I'm just so garsh durn proud of 'em! Also, I..want the extra cred in my gallery.

Anyways, these are four gunblades I made back in 2002 or thereabouts. It was during class in 8th grade and I clearly had more important things to worry about than learning.

As it may be obvious, Devastator was done separately; I just pretty much matched up their sizes and stuck it to the side.

NOTE!!!!!!!: I KNOW I misspelled "Samurai"; it wasn't exactly a high-ranking word in my vocabulary back then.

So anyways. I fantasized a lot of role-playing-typed things, among which was gunblade training; which led to the Samurai Gunblade (training for beginners), the Advanced Training Gunblade, and, since dragons are oh so cool, the Dragon Blade gunblade. The advanced training gunblade really doesn't have a name, since I couldn't liken it to anything. Other than that the only names are really "Samurai" and "Dragon Blade".

Inspiration.. The design for the Samurai gunblade was inspired by Galbadian soldier swords -- WHICH, for the longest time after first playing the FF8 demo from a demo disc carried by Pizza Hut, I thought actually WERE gunblades. It probably wasn't until some (many) years after I started playing the actual game that I realized they were just normal swords. o.o

The advanced training gunblade was inspired by Seifer's gunblade, "Hyperion". I know there's no apparent similarity (which *I* didn't know at the time; I'd scarcely paid attention to his character), but the element they have in common is the angle of the blade to the handle--they're both designed so that holding it with the tip toward the target is like aiming an actual gun; which is why I categorized it as advanced. FUN FACT: After Seifer becomes a bad guy in FF8, you can, in any battle encounter with him, activate the trigger on his gunblade just as you could when he was in your party. When the AI Seifer attacks you with a slash, press R1 at the right time and "bang".

Dragon Blade wasn't really inspired by anything, I think.. I just thought it looked really cool. ^_^

Devastator was designed with the common-place principal that "spikes make weapons cool" in mind. That's pretty much all there is to say about it.

And that wraps up the comments. ^_^
