Did something different today and everything turned out so stiff and ugly. I'm wondering if that is just a phase. I'm not concentrating on the gesture (and it shows). Instead, I'm looking at the parts. Actually, I'm trying to do both, but right now, I'm mainly interested in paying attention to the things that I don't get the chance to investigate doing gesture with timed intervals. Yes. No time interval. But that is not as good as it sounds. Instead of shifting gears, it's using only one, the low gear, the one we use for detail. When everything is detail, where do you start? where do you finish? When everything is important, what can you leave out? Typically, it's the gesture that suffers. lol. Of course, if you never slow down to examine detail, you'll never learn how to finish the job.
