EDIT 2012: fresh colors, so little time now.I am currently in a very foul mood. Had a little "accident" with my computer and now half of my data is inevitably erased. All my movies, pictures, my school stuff, ALL of it is gone. About 90 GB.... After trying to dig it back out for like a hundreth time, I gave up and decided to do something to upgrade my current mental state.
Wanted to draw this scene since it was mentioned in the (second?) book. Just imagining how Jesse and Mercy are working together to "tune up" the old rabbit thing on her yard makes me always laugh. Adam must really enjoy the view.
And yes, I know there are some mistakes like that the car is too small compared to Jesse, that Adam has a wired fence(!!) or something like that, some technical stuff etc. This is the first and probably last time I EVER draw a car for real, I tell you that! I suck at drawing vehicles... I'm not even sure if it really looks like a VW rabbit.

I loved the relationship between them too. In fact, the overal bonds between the characters are one of the best aspects of the books. My opinion.

Yes, Absolutely agree! And the depth and complexity she manages with the characters. Sure there are hints of archetypes, but there's always that, and her characters are such individuals!
Hehe, yeah, cats... Though my dog can look at me like I've gone totally bonkers at times also. (Maybe because I have, laughing hysterically into empty space when reading)

I'm sure there is a conversation between Adam and Mercy at some point regarding the car; and Adam saying it kept her on his mind. Also recall Jesse mentioning something to Mercy something about Adam being one of those 'types' that must have everything in its place and pictures hanging straight or similar. I'd go find it but I'm currently reading other novels. I just discovered Lara Adrian's midnight breed novels (more vampires, alien vampires at that!). And I'm still reading the new 'Carpathian' (by Christine Feehan) novels (eep more vampires) I picked up. Not to mention my current booksie obsession with Oleander's stories
