Another entry for a competition. This shot took many attempts to get right. The brief was "almost black" and the subject a handful of sequins. To get the "smoke" to look right I lit the scene from the front with an led torch and waved a white paper streamer over the sequins. The six second shot blurred the movement nicely and created what looks like smouldering embers.
