Wanting to diversify my art portfolio but instead of drawing celebrities and fictional characters I wanted to do something special for portrait illustration by drawing old friends and people I met from schools and other places in my life.

So I decided to do a portrait illustration of an old friend and roommate from boarding school back in 2006. I was worried at first it might be odd to send drawing of people out of the blue since it's been long time I have met or been in contact with anyone from school but am glad I got positive response and permission to post it on my Instagram without tagging or naming the person out of respect for privacy.

Hopefully I get more portrait done more for old acquaintances, friends, colleagues and others with permission.
