Description
This was a though challenge indeed.
I had to redesign a character that I hadn't ever actually drawn before. In fact, the only illustration of Damien Daredragon was a photo-bash of illustrations and reference found on the internet back then. And, since it was made as a montage, the result for the time was not bad - and that's why I had never re-designed it.
However, this was not an excuse. At least, I would have had the opportunity to draw him some legs, the poor guy!

Damien Daredragon was a character I created in the early 2000s for a D&D game set in the Forgotten Realms and I resumed him twice.
He was a warrior monk from a secretive order of mercenaries and assassins for hire from Amn. He had arrived at Waterdeep to undertake shady deals but, after being almost dead and cursed by a powerful wizard he decided to expiate and put himself as a bodyguard at the service of Maristarre, a young but powerful sorceress. The two soon became lovers and companions.
He was a serious and disciplined guy, almost emotionless and cold from the outside but actually torn between his mercenary code that required him maximum loyalty to his client and a righteous conscience suggesting him to avenge the wrongs he could have met.
He earned himself a reputation as a vigliante and avenger known only by the nickname "Red Wyvern", from the red wyvern tattoo of his order he had on his chest.
