Description
The titular main character of this story, we wanted to make him likeable but seem like an unlikely hero one who isn't really destined for much but proves his capabilities. I wanted to draw him as looking quite normal or at least 'lower class' and so used mainly rustic, earthy colours such as browns and yellows. He is one of my favourite designs because of how 'normal' he looks but also because he has the potential to improve. His hat was a signature piece of his design as it gives him a fairly unique silhouette while still strongly connecting him to the Chinese motif that was the main inspiration behind these characters.
