P.S. It also reminds me of the quote from Susan Kay's "Phantom": "Keep away from the edge!" "Why? Why must I always keep away from the edge?" Love it. If I had the time/balls/motivation, I'd ask your permission to do my own version of this. I'd credit you, of course, if I ever got around to it...

This just popped up on my random faves list and I just have to say, I LOVE that song by Josh Grobin, his voice is so beautiful (I often close my eyes and imagine he's Erik singing), and the composition and detail and symbolism in this piece are all awesome. Truly inspired <3.

Oooh, I adore the clocks and chains! They go so well with the lyrics =^/.^= I mean, I'm sure you did it on purpose, but it's still awesome. It's such a bittersweet pic, as well as beautifully drawn. His right arm is a bit off, but otherwise it is lovely! The hand reaching out as if to catch hold of something - or someone - is beautiful and very sad. Somehow, the fact that he has wings makes it even sadder, because he isn't just falling, he's choosing not to fly.

very well done, both the poem, and the picture. n_n the clocks in the background and the chains around his arms go great with the visuals described in the poem. n_n and I'm just a sucker for clocks in art, they are always so fun. I am eager to see the finished product on this as the black and white is very beautiful, the color version will be stunning. Good work
