Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm—

. . . .I got nothing. Been having writer block and while this neat little site was helping for awhile I’m just kinda “eh” at the moment

SollyRaptor In reply to purplecruiser [2018-03-05 02:00:42 +0000 UTC]

Yea, I know that feeling.
I've had an artblock during 2017. Like, I still drew stuff, but I was never satisfied by the outcome of it. Everything was just "meh".

The beginning of 2018 kinda gave me a boost and I finally got some inspirational wave of some sorts.
I've met awesome artists, rewatched amazing old animations and rewrote everything about my characters. I dunno what happened, but the start of 2018 was my start to shine, I persume. :'D

I hope you get out of your block as well and get some more attention. :3c

Heh, thankie! I say more about it in the other reply, but my own writers block has been a little different and harder to shake, but I’m trying!

One thing that tends to happen, whenever I find really moving or pretty art, I end up sensing a story behind it and write it out in the comments, a short story or a poem (containing the story), and send it out for the world to see. Largely in Undertale more recently, but eh. People don’t always see that sorta stuff but when all else fails THAT’S when I’m able to write things and people seem to really like it. It’s. . . Baffling at times

And this one is the one for Ao3, username is, “ThatDarnLakeSiren”,

The former is a Minecraft one, but since I have only one other Minecraft story published on my Ao3 account (it]’s the same one) I just sent over the linke for a Team Fortress 2 vent story that I’ve been finding a lot of motivation for recently.

It is the excitement perhaps.
I mean, there's a lot going on right now. My style made a 180 degree flip, I altered characters to the better, my tumblr is roaring to go, I draw people pictures of their characters and make them happy, and that makes me happy...
I dunno. Having too much fun rn to sleep.

I actually don't know if that insomnia of mine is an actual advantage.
I am pretty much doing nothing else that laying in my bed, chatting with people or watchin YT videos.
Even if I feel pumped and hyped, I can't go to my PC and draw stuff, because I do not want to wake my parents, like, holy, my PC sounds like a freaking vacuum cleaner.

Heh, I worry sometimes that I am pushy. . . But when I get used to a certain routine/pattern and it’s broken I can get kinda antsy or even irritated (depending on my mood/coffee intake) but I do my best to keep it to myself ad simply inquire after a certain span of time if everything is alright, I try to be as forgiving as possible, everyone has lives outside of the internet (shocking as that is sometimes lol).

Yea, yea, I got it and read it as I go. Since I am a dreamer I just pass 2 sentences and start gazing at my room ceiling imagining what you are describing there.

I'd really love to draw your characters. It'll be both inspiration and a challenge to me since I've never made a character out of a description before, but you are getting me quite hyped again. XD

purplecruiser In reply to SollyRaptor [2018-03-05 04:45:47 +0000 UTC]

Ah! Well then go ahead, I won’t break up your creative process (or whatever is happening) don’t mind me.

Heh, by all means go ahead! I could give a few “poses” persay for both of them, since Farrin and Todd carry themselves in a certain way. . . Like posture and stuff.

SollyRaptor In reply to purplecruiser [2018-03-05 04:48:46 +0000 UTC]

Nah, you can bother me as much as you desire. It ain't gonna break anything. XD

Sure, you may do that.
More references are always a good thing for artists.

purplecruiser In reply to SollyRaptor [2018-03-05 04:53:27 +0000 UTC]

Hummmm. . .

Well Todd is typically a lot more shy, so especially when meeting new people he kinda hunches up and peeks more through his hair or otherwise avoids eye contact. He also acts like the person he’s just met might hurt him, so he’s pretty guarded too and prepared to run away; not fight back, or defend himself, but run away. I like to imagine that with his towering height his behavior is kinda bizarre.

Farrin, on the other hand (especially since he’s still in his “child” size and not yet an adult), tends to be more on the defensive, posture straight and tall, baring he fangs or showing off his claws, his fur fluffing out like MAD in order to make himself look bigger. Since he can’t teleport to either escape or get behind someone to attack them or anything like that he’s much more like to posture like this, or at the very least glare at you suspiciously and hold himself as though you’re not worth his time/something he might have to fight simultaneously.

Wow, i like your concept of fuzzy cat endermen. :'D

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

purplecruiser In reply to SollyRaptor [2018-03-05 05:17:52 +0000 UTC]

Heh, that’s not even the whole deal. I’ve got notes about it all elsewhere, but Enderman have like two layers of fur (sometimes less or more, depending on their region kinda thing) a soft under layer and a stiffer outer layer, to keep them warm and keep off water/moisture. Since he’s stil la youngster Farrin still has his fluffier fur. He eventually outgrows Todd, and can even pick his “older” brother up, heh.

Uhh if memory serves Farrin is about four or so, and Todd is closer to twenty-two (I forgot that at first). He doesn’t have any facial hair either despite like. . . Never shaving. Just, not really something I thought of before, but I can hardly imagine him with facial hair.

SollyRaptor In reply to purplecruiser [2018-03-05 05:29:42 +0000 UTC]

Awesome.

Farrin kinda reminds me of my CatEnder Wolf.
Not only are they both pretty much childs but they share cat traits. :'D

Wolf (which is a really ironical name for a cat-hybrid) is 5 and 1,4 meters tall. Uh... 4ft 7inch I think.

purplecruiser In reply to SollyRaptor [2018-03-05 05:41:07 +0000 UTC]

Heh, alrighty then. I would like to note that Shardian Enders (like Farrin) Are largely humanoid, wit ha few similarities to cats, like more pointed ears (more like elves than cats), no tail, their claws are curved and can’t be retracted (at least not on their feet not sure about their hands), and their jaws can open so wide like in the game, kinda like cats that can unhinge their jaws real wide, as well as cat social-cue things like with body language and scent, and similar. I mostly took what I’d seen from Ender’s in Minecraft itself and thought about how they function, incorporating what I’d observed into my creation of the Shardian Enders.

Like how eye contact sets them off and make them attack you; eye contact is considered to be a challenge for dominance or testing ones strength (like how cats generally consider eye contact confrontational and prefer little glances instead). In immediate family, like mates/parents/siblings, eye contact is just fine but they are taught not too as they grow older.

Which is why Todd confused Farrin so much, since the Spawn kept staring at him and baring his teeth, but was otherwise shielding him from the rain with his cloak and acting nonthreatening, even making low “purring” (humming) noises, as though to soothe him. . . And it worked and here they are. Farrin doesn’t fully understand to this day, but figured at the time that this was simply a strange, lonely Ender outcast like himself who didn’t want to be alone.

’Cause while some Shardian Enders live in communities like Farrin was raised in, they will also prefer to be more solitary, staking out a territory for themselves elsewhere. They may gain a mate and they’ll share the territory, but it kinda depends whether or not they’ll allow they’re children to stay with them once they’re older enough. They may be driven off or they may stay, and in gaining mates of their own later on, it could be the first small steps to making a new community of Enders living peacefully together :3

. . . . This. All this. All the inspiration is bubbling forth and things I hadn’t considered before are being made up on the spot and fit into place with all the rest, and flawlessly at that. This only happens when I work with other people or talk to them, not that I’m complaining, but when I work solo on a thing I tend to lose motivation or inspiration that much quicker :-/

Oh wow, really cool stuff.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

purplecruiser In reply to SollyRaptor [2018-03-05 05:56:08 +0000 UTC]

Heh, thanks. I brought it up since I noticed you drew Wolf with cat-like ears, which would seem out of place on Farrin.

I would also like to note that, for lack of teleportation Farrin is excellent at climbing. Not just trees but sheer cliffs too. HE kinda had too, since there are no certain pathways in the caverns he grew up in, and being able to scramble to keep up was better than having his parents or siblings constantly teleporting him with them everywhere.

On top of that, there IS a reason they can lift blocks and move them aroudn so effortlessly! Well, okay, the reason is the End is like a different dimension entirely and so they kinda partially-integrated themselves here they can sorta manipulate the “fabric” of the Overworld/Minecraftia, enough that they can pick up blocks with ease. But the way they ADAPTED with this is even more intriguing, for they’ll rearrange caverns or parts of cave walls in order to make dens inside and pathways outside, incomplete pathways sure but they can TELEPORT so it’s a moot point.

Farrin, too, can do this, he only has trouble with teleporting. And since Tod had built his home inside a cave in a hill with vines growing all over the entrance and bearing some ability to easily carry blocks (being a Spawn and all; all the abilities we, the “Player” have) wellll it only convinced the Enderchild further that he was a strange Ender.

purplecruiser In reply to SollyRaptor [2018-03-05 18:55:36 +0000 UTC]

Th-thank you. I dunno much about their villages or cities in the End or stuff like that (wish I could check it out!) but under my own reasoning, they can’t move End Stone or anything else that originates in the End, like they do blocks that originate from the Overworld. Of course, this is just my own reasonings and theories, and only truly applies to my stories in general.

However it works for you, I’m cool with it. Considering Rp’s kinda mishmash ideas and worlds and end up wit ha lot of compromises or. . . Whatever ends up happening in this case haven’t had any coffee

SollyRaptor In reply to purplecruiser [2018-03-05 20:50:38 +0000 UTC]

Jo.

I know, it often happens that theories get smooshed all over the place. :'D
If my characters talk about something that is connected to my theories, I often let my OC say something like "In my area it is so", "that's how I have learnt it", "people from my region told me" and so on. :U

purplecruiser In reply to SollyRaptor [2018-03-05 21:01:08 +0000 UTC]

!! Oh, that makes sense! Ya, ya. That works.

Hmmmm. . . Not really sure what region Todd and Farrin were really from, necessarily in your world at least, but Todd spawned into the world in the far north, where the summers were short and winters were long, besides being near the edge of a massive mountain range (of sorts). When he was kicked out of his village he traveled south and a little east, into much warmer climes (and he left in the lost month or two of winter so he got to experience spring for the first time too), eventually ending up a massive forest that had some hills and little ravines with rivers here and there (like that forest went on for hundreds of miles before hitting any other biome), although admittedly he lives near one of the edges.

Farrin actually grew up in a different segment of that forest, thoguh deep underground, in a large cavern largely filled with various minerals and materials (I’m gonna say the term “Shardian Ender” arose from this, considering they live around shards of valuable materials. They’re still technically from the “Overworld” but since much of their lives are spent in caves, only truly leaving to either stake out their own territory or simply to hunt, wellll they evolved differently so yes). This constitutes for their long fur and hardy bodies, since they have to deal with moisture or small streams in the caves. Doesn’t outright protect them from rain, but it’s a much better buffer than those Surface-Dwelling Overworld Enders.

. . . Really hoping this all makes sense I just went on a tangent wow, jeeze
