Artie has always been a rambunctious and hard working mare, Born to two very proud, very powerful and very influential parents, one could concur Heart Racer had success set in her veins, and that is not an inaccurate assumption! While not the fastest flier (being a generous bit slower than rainbow dash) she makes up for it in elegance, being naturally skilled in pattern recognition and cloud design. however, those who compete with her should be sure to not underestimate her speed, she knows when to use it! Her wingspan is designed for endurance and agility but she can hit top speeds in little intervals.
While awfully competitive, Racer is one of the kindest ponies you’ll ever meet, she’s just like her mommy <3 Cadence was very adamant about instilling a love and kindness within all of her children, a goal that proceeded to her children… most of them anyway. Artie is composed and could definitely be the most emotionally stable out of her family. That’s not to say she doesn’t have her share of problems, she does. trust me. We’ll explore those as i introduce you to her corner of this world.
Artie also shares very personal connections to those around her, being a princess of love herself she is incredibly talented at creating close bonds. Her and Shinning have a close but often complicated relationship. Her birth came at a very unexpected time for her parents. With cadence was in the later stages of her pregnancy, a peace offering was sent to the crystal empire from Yack-Yackistan.
So while on a trip to the uppermost northern hemisphere of equestria, extending treaties and establishing trade routes with Yack-Yackistan Shining’s daughter was born 4 months sooner than expected. His trip was supposed to last only a 3 months in total, with twilight home to care for cadence in his absence, he missed the birth of his second born. Storms picked up as he left in late fall and Shining was unable to make it home until mid winter. This, regrettably, would cause a rather large sever in the bond between Heart and her father. However, it made way for her and her auntie twilight to gain an unprecedented level of familial intimacy. the love shared between Racer and her auntie twi is a bond that she simply does not share with anyone else. The whole family will often note how similar the two are, as spending her early years with twilight as a common presence definitely shaped her personality. Both are massive star watchers and have a weekly personal book club. Heart, during off seasons and time away from Olympian training will leave for ponyville to spend time with her beloved auntie and uncle discord.
