Studious> Pelagic has always enjoyed study and being prepared. While still in school, he never turned in a project late (though this does sometimes spill over into anxiety when deadlines approach), and he always fufilled the assignment to the best of his abilities.
Quick Witted> Never one to be out done in words, Pelagic always has a retort ready when speaking in public. He often knows just the right words to sway a dragon to his views, or at least get under their scales with a scaving remark.
Friendly > Pelagic genuinely enjoys the company of other dragons and often seeks to befriend them. He is often good at smoothing things over between two dragons and rarely finds himself at the end of someone’s ier.

> His father and mother conspired to overthrow the monarchy. Pelagic’s parents and a few others in medial positions of power had a secret plan to dispose of the royal family if civil war broke out. Pelagic wasn’t supposed to know, but it tends to be hard to keep secrets within a household. Fortunately, when Queen Dreadnought defeated her sister, the group disbanded. Pelagic still has nightmares where the Queen finds out and banishes his family.

FEARS > Dying without accomplishing anything, the Queen finding out his parents were traitors, failing, battle.

\\ H I S T O R Y //
Baby Dragonet > Pelagic was born to his parent in the SeaWing capital. While young, he and his sister developed a knack for getting into trouble. On one such occasion, Pelagic nearly ripped his entire ear off while getting too close to some coral. His mother doted on them, while his father took a detached interest in his children. Overall, Pelagic looks back on this time with nostalgia.
Dragonet > At age two Pelagic and his sister Hydro began to draw the attention of their father. He began to spend more time with them, tutoring and preparing them for school. It was also at this age that Pelagic began to understand more about the situation his home was in. The possible civil war hung like a dark cloud over his time at school in the SeaWing kingdom. It was also at this time Hydro began to become very sick. She would often miss weeks of school at a time, bedridden. Whether it was the fear of civil war or that his son might contract whatever aled his daughter, Pelagic’s father successfully lobbied then Queen Behemoth to send his son to Pantala-Pyrrhia University at age four.
While at Pantala-Pyrrhia University, Pelagic did well in his studies, though he missed his home terribly. He eventually caught the eye of the Alliance thanks to a few misadventures with friends. On one such adventure, in which they tried to steal a scroll from Archipelago, then a member of the Order of the Ancients. Pelagic’s quick wit and leadership of his group impressed Archipelago, and he arranged for him to be mentored.

Pelagic loved his time under his mentor. During this time, he took a particular intrest in History, learning as much about the past as he could. He was particullarly fasinated with Darkstalker and his defeat and the fall of the HiveWing Empire. Both, he thought, presented important lessons that could be applied in the current time. He also kept up corispondance with his sister and visited his family when we could.
Young Adult > Upon graduating from Pantala-Pyrrhia University, Pelagic received the best news possible. His sister had finally recovered her disease. He flew immediately for the Kingdom of the Sea, though it took longer than he’d care to admit. Unfortunately, all that awaited him when he got home was a grieving family. His sister had relapsed and passed away just days before.
Pelagic hasn’t been back to the Kingdom of the Sea since, and was relieved to finally be put into one of the orders at age ten. He should have guessed he’d be placed in the Order of the Ancients, but it did come as a mild shock. Nevertheless, he is ready to move forward, now carrying on not only for himself, but his departed sister.
