design contest entry for xXFiire-FlyyXx <3

i went a little off-theme and i did alter the color palette.. i tried to make them more unique so that this stands out from the other entries, and in case i don't win i can keep this since they won't be way too close to whatever entry firefly picks :]

anywayyss, here's what i have written on the wing extension:

prosthetic wing extension --
feathers from a willing donor are bound together by thin yet strong leather strips and strapped to the arm of the wing.
each feather is attached to two leather strips, one on the front and one on the back, and each gap between the feathers has a leather strip going around the wing and attaching to the back and front strips.
feathers are in two separate 'bundles', the four biggest and the three smallest, so that they fold separately.

feathers were white and have been dyed to appear like butterfly wings. the dyeing is redone every once in a while to avoid fading.
the wing extension is still a bit shorter than needed and the flight style needed does differ between the wings, so most flights are short and unbalanced, though practice makes perfect and they can achieve or surpass normal flight abilities.

also, small note because i feel like this has to be said, dragons with hair has definitely been popularized mostly if not entirely because of dandimane (at least within the wof art community) and i wouldn't usually include it but it was something firefly wanted. i'm not trying to copy dandimane, i actually spent a while sketching and resketching to make sure it didn't look too close to dandi's style, any similarities are incidental aand a failure on my part :')
