I agree, it's hard to believe most videogame heroes go through things like climbing mountains, swinging heavy swords, carrying a huge bag of stuff and pushing boulders around without looking shredded and buff.

I actually liked him. I didn't think he'd be fit before, until it does it on Twilight Princess when he does some sort of wrestle or sumo. I guess in this drawing explains with carrying the sword that is twice as large as he is and with the help of a golden gauntlet to lift up a large granite. You know what I mean?

Well... They purposely made Link shorter than Zelda. He's a notch above goofy and a notch below cool/handsome. That's so he could perform certain animations without looking too odd. Link is a hero who doesn't look like a hero, basically. Just like Zelda's a badass who doesn't look like a badass.
