Watch out, the ground's slippery! It's not black ice, it's Buttons! She's a girl whose body, composed entirely of butter, is unbelievably frictionless. And, outside of small drops, her body is stable and unable to separate. If, after slipping and falling, she finds herself spreading (like butter), she doesn't have much choice but to keep spreading herself thinner. It's kind of like a rubber band effect: if she reaches her limit (though that limit is immense so it takes a while), she'll snap back into a less hazardous state, clearing any ground from her slippery surface. She is somewhat ashamed of this, as it has caused car accidents and injured many pedestrians. Buttered streets are no joke, be careful and prepared.

Her usual getting-stuck-to-the-ground-in-public-locations makes her one of the dirtiest food-based characters, so while eating any other one would be rude and not cool, Buttons in particular would be really nasty. You don't know where she's been and what stepped, drove, etc. on her. Well, you'd know, it'd probably be on the news if it's particularly dangerous. She takes several baths every day, but of course it's never enough. Besides, it's dangerous for herself. What if she slipped down the drain?

She has considered several times wearing clothes instead of sculpting them out of her own body in order to perhaps alleviate her dangerousness, but alas she's too smooth to do that. They always slip right off, regardless of what size she wears. She ever tries wearing kid-size clothes and they slip right off. Besides, clothes don't spread so it would get really awkward if she didn't sculpt them anyways.

How'd she not get sent to prison for her endangerment of the public and how has she not gotten sued despite being so hazardous and causing very horrible accidents? Simple: she's a very good smooth-talker. She's not proud of this either, her family ain't rich, so she can't exactly take the other options, or she would make her family fall in ruin. She really does want to make up with everyone she's harmed, but alas she can't risk doing such. Speaking about family, she's NOT related to P.B., from the 2018 OC challenge. Yes, they're both made of a kind of butter and yes they both have the name "Button", but they haven't even met. People should stop asking that.
