Description This here is a piece that I never fully finished, other than the line work. What was intended to be added was obviously the shading and "coloring" I usually did for my digital art at the time. What I also wanted to do was add a bit more detail to the background, like adding brickwork and some more room decor that's fitting for the location. Anyway, what's even going on in this, right?

This is another bit of concept art for that "story idea" that I was discussing in the previous image. This is meant to be a scene that acts as a sort of reveal of the villain, hence the name title "Seize Them!". Now, the figures in it are a bit more of complicated. So, you got my boy Mumfler Fumperdink in the center left, and Cee all the way in the back. As for the rest of the figures in there, the 2 in the front and the 1 in the center right are DND characters that I made. The rest of the figures are just henchmen, made to fill out the room. The 2 in the front Onanokuz, a Dragonborn Monk, and Richard Bemonde, a Human Fighter, both have changed a lot in there design, and in there general concept for a character since this was made. The 1 in the middle is Laz, Tiefling Monk, and actually has stayed mostly the same throughout the years.

They all would have served as supporting characters in a story involving this scenario, serving different purposes to play off of the themes and personality of both Mumfler and Cee. Admittedly, there inclusion would have been a bit thoughtless though, so if I were to got back to this, I would rework what they would actually offer to a story, instead of them just being there. One quick thing, Laz is a female. Reason I mention that is because I've been told that she doesn't look like one at all, which I admit I can see what they mean. I'll elaborate when I get to a character piece.

Some things that inspired me when making this scene and designs for some of the characters, was primarily ancient Egypt and Pharaohs. A little bit of Arabic clothing as well. The interesting thing I tried to do was use Egyptian weapon designs, instead of standard sword and shield. I believe that I used the khopesh and palm axe, as well as spears and a bell shield, which I tried to make a bit more "extravagantly" looking. The long skirts and turbans I used to further push that theme.

Overall, I like this piece, and I think of it as a time capsule for my skills and tools that I had at the time. Most characters in the scene have changed, whether it be their design, personality, class, even race. I'll get into it when I do on where they are now, if you all care to know. This has aged and remained unfinished, but it's a cool look back.
