This is called ''knowing without knowing''. Starting 2012 it's getting more and more popular, and it's not so rare thing anymore. You can know without knowing such a things as:
*language
* science, medicine, history, nature, e.t.c. facts
*math (sometimes)
* how to act in unexpected situations

Happens to me a lot too. Especially since I'm getting more and more psychic as I grow up. I pick the thoughts out of people's heads without trying, and then they tell me I'm scaring them. o_o; oops
