UPDATE! I added an extra pointy thing, because it just didn’t feel right to not have one.

“Why the name? You see, my father, he’s a Velocitronian, and I’ve always been a lot closer to him than my mother. He’s why I never really felt like a Camien. So I went and got my name changed, much to her chagrin. Not to be sacrilegious, but I never did like my mother that much. She’s so snobbish, so bossy. Always acting like she owns all Caminus. Finally Dad gave up and went back to his home world. Mom then got all slaggy and proceeded to disown me. Literally threw me out of the mansion - from the tower, no less - and yelled at me not to come back. “YOU LIKE HIM BETTER ANYWAY!” Oh, and just for good measure, she took my money. Her special way of encouraging me to get a job. So I did. Found a flyer advertising a medical job on the Earth bound luxury ship Vis Vitalis. Not exactly fast paced enough for me, but I was desperate. Plus I already had good Tech Specs in my medical classes.”

“So I very quickly found a slot, got all the interviews done, and applied. Job proved surprisingly enjoyable. It was fun to interact with all the tourists on the ship. It’s how I met my good friends Nautica and Nightbeat. Nautica’s this overeager mechanic type, always trying to help out. So pure. Nightbeat’s a detective - specializes in homocide and missing bots cases. Her whole shtick is acting all cutesy so people underestimate her. Kinda charming, actually. After the voyage to Earth ended, I scanned the fastest car I could find. Not quite Velocitronian, but it’ll do for now.”

“I decided to keep in close touch with my new friends. They’re all I’ve really got - haven’t seen Dad in years and Primus knows what happened to Mom. Probably went out with the first hot guy she laid eyes on. As for me? My friends and I got selected for service on the Lost Light. It’s this big ship that’s gonna find this thing called the Underbase. Supposed to help us in this crisis we’re having. Ship’s nice and gigantic, so that’s nice. Yesterday I helped put away some of Nautica’s stuff - tools, mechanic’s handbooks, those sorts of things. Nightbeat’s been talking to me about this detective show she’s been watching. So that’s neat. Her Mini-Con listens with intense fascination.”

“This morning, a real hot guy waltzed into my room and started flirting with me. Said his name’s Hot Shot. Mom never let me have any guy friends, so I had no clue how to react. Got all flustered and blushy. I think he liked that. I’m gonna go to his room later. He seems fun.”
