Fade in:

INT. Tails' bedroom - NIGHT

Tails is sleeping in his bed, tossing and turning. Suddenly, he wakes up with a start, breathing heavily.

TAILS (muttering to himself)
No...no...this can't be happening...

Tails sits up, wiping the sweat off his forehead. He looks around his room, trying to shake off the feeling of fear that still lingers.

TAILS (to himself)
It was just a nightmare, Tails. Just a nightmare.

Tails takes a deep breath and lays back down, closing his eyes. But as soon as he does, he sees the nightmare replaying in his mind.

CUT TO:

FLASHBACK - Tails' Nightmare

Tails is in a dark, abandoned warehouse. He's searching for Sonic, who's nowhere to be found.

TAILS
Sonic? Sonic, where are you?

Suddenly, he hears a sound coming from behind him. He turns around and sees Tails Doll, the creepy puppet version of himself, holding Sonic's lifeless body.

TAILS
No...no...this can't be happening...

Tails tries to run away, but Tails Doll is too fast. He catches up to Tails and raises his arm, ready to strike.

TAILS
Please...no...don't do this...

But Tails Doll doesn't listen. He brings his arm down, and Tails wakes up, screaming.

CUT TO:

INT. Tails' bedroom - CONTINUOUS

Tails is now sitting up in his bed, crying. Sonic, who was sleeping in another room, hears the commotion and rushes to Tails' bedroom.

SONIC
Tails? Tails, what's wrong?

Tails looks up, tears streaming down his face.

TAILS
Sonic...I had a nightmare...about Tails Doll...he killed you...

Sonic sits down next to Tails, putting his arm around him.

SONIC
It's okay, Tails. It was just a nightmare. I'm right here, and I'm not going anywhere.

Tails leans into Sonic's embrace, taking comfort in his presence.

TAILS
Thank you, Sonic.

SONIC
Anytime, buddy. Now let's get some sleep. Tomorrow's a new day.

Sonic helps Tails lay back down, tucking him in.

TAILS
Goodnight, Sonic.

SONIC
Goodnight, Tails.

Sonic turns off the light and exits the room, leaving Tails to fall back asleep, now feeling safe and secure.
