Description I open my eyes to a quiet strong smell. A behemoth is in the judges hall, looks like a giant beetle with... boxers? I knew I was going to see other-worldly creatures here, but this one just takes the the cake. It seems that a few new faces have arrived as well. It seems the amount of ammo I brought with me will be a problem. "I'm going to have to look for more ammo," I say to myself. The lights go out, and the ground shakes uncontrollably. This sensation caught me off guard, but I soon realize that this is no ordinary earthquake. I caught a glimpse out the window and saw the clouds travel downward... no, that's not right.

"We're ascending!"

This must mean the tournament is about to begin. Everyone that could fit under a table ducked for cover. Me and the beetle however, did not. I took this chance to set up my sniper which was inside the briefcase i set in the table in front of me. It was a challenge getting my gun calibrated with all the vibrations and dirt falling on in my eyes. Luckily, I was able to get my gun ready to go when the ascent stopped. Everyone begins to exit the safety of the tables as three new people arrive. These people don't have the same aura as the others, the ones ready for a fight. These three are more relaxed, looking down on us. One looks like an elf; she has emerald green eyes and brown hair. Next to her is a black skinned demon with blue markings all over. Finally the last presence is a sickly grey skinned man.

The black skinned demon steps forward. "Greetings, and welcome to Illusia. Let the tournament begin," He snaps his fingers and something enters the room. "GUH!?" My heart feels like it skipped a beat, my body is heating up immensely. Others in the room have the same problem, judging by the cries of agony. I can't let this get to me.

The pain leaves the same way it left. Everyone is trying to get their breath back, so that must mean their pain has left as well. I stand and look in the direction of the three overpowering figures. As i do, I can't help but feel that my shoulders feel...heavy?

"My dear friends, an explanation is in order," says the grey skinned man, "A lock is encased over your soul. Not just one lock however, but six. And also a key. Escape from this city is impossible now, for even if you were to survive the drop from the city. Once the tournament ends, the city will return to the ground and you are all free to go, but only the true winner, who has removed every lock from their soul, may return to this room and receive their reward."

A box appears at my feet. I pick it up and examine the contents. 300 specium. Is this bribery? "I earnestly hope you'll be willing to abide by the rules we've set," I look up to see the elf girl step forward and speak. "If not, don't think you'll be missed by us, or your fellow opponents," This is quite the bribery.

The lid of the box shows gold lettering, but its too small for me to read. "The rules?" The building melts away as those words leave my lips. No one is in sight and it's already night. I head into the closest ally way to put together a plan. "First things first, I need more equipment. For that, I need money, and some poor saps to steal from." I look around and see a job bulletin. Good starting point as any. I examine the job bulletin to look for paying jobs.
