Poor Rae's running through the gamut in this scene, isn't she! From crying, to incredulous, to startled, to pissed...she's going through it.
It's a bit of an intrusive question, and I know I get mad and defensive when I'm expecting someone to taunt or belittle me. That's not what Shine's about at all, he genuinely wants to figure out a way to help her, but she doesn't know that. How could she, she doesn't know him at all.
