(the next day in the dragonfly swamp on Tarlax...)

Ignitus: (narrating) today was another boring day, and, wanting to break the boredom, Sparx had pestered Spyro into playing Hide and Seek and pass the time.

Spyro: (with his wings folded covering his face) Eight...Nine...Ten! Ready or not, Here I come! (glanced around, and spots Sparx floating over a tree root and charged at him to tag him)

Ignitus: (narrating) Spyro and Sparx grew up together and treated each other as brothers, in spite of the two being completely different creatures. they were an oddly matched yet compatible pair of brothers such as the world has never seen.

Sparx: You're never gonna catch me this time, purple boy!

Inferna: (narrating) Sparx had made quite a habit to tease Spyro about his appearance. both Flash and Nina had strictly scolded him for making those kind of remarks. but they and Spyro knew Sparx never meant half of the weird stuff that came out of his mouth, but that still didn't mean Spyro wasn't hurt about his jokes.

Ignitus: (narrating) but despite all this, Spyro, he like all of us, accepted the world into which he was born, believing he was one of them. a big and purple one of them, true. but one of them nonetheless.

Spyro: (glances over behind a tree, hearing the buzzing sound of his friend) I see you, my little glowing friend. 7w7

Sparx: Seeing and catching are two different things, big boy! (flies off, zooming into an uprising path that led to another part of the swamp)

Spyro: (chuckles) yeah, you'd better run! (follows Sparx all the way to a huge chasm filled vines covered in sharp pointy thorns, almost falling down when part of the ground cracked beneath his front paws.)

Sparx: awww, what's the matter, wittle Spyro, can't fly? Oh, that's right, you walk everywhere, ohhh, that's too bad. (grins teasingly)

Spyro: You're toast when I catch you, Sparx! (runs as fast as he could across the small bridge that collapsed beneath his weight. he made it and continued on with his little pursuit.)

Sparx: Ah, it must be tough losing all the time, huh, Spy-AHHHH!!! (Gets swallowed by a frogweed that came out from the ground behind him. he struggles to get out of the creature.) alright let me out of here, ya overgrown fungus! (tries to punch his way out but fails) Spyro, seriously, lend me a hand here, will ya brother?

Spyro: Gee, Sparx. I don't know...Frogweeds gotta eat too. -w-

Sparx: SPYRO, COME ON! WHACK IT! DO SOMETHING! I'm your buddy! my wings are starting to get all moldy! >A<

Spyro: Okay, Okay! I'll get you out of there! (charges at the creature, hitting once with his horns and twice with his claws with all his strength)

(the frogweed gave out a pained croak as it spat out the dragonfly, and it gave out one last croak before slithering back into the ground. Sparx crashed straight into the dragon's chest, before slithering off and falling on his back on the swamp's soil)

Sparx: Ughhh, gross! now I smell almost as bad as you do! I can't believe how disgusting the insides of a frogweed actually are! hohohoho! and that's pretty bad, see ya later, sucka! XD (Flies away once more)

Spyro: So much for gratitude... -.O

(Spyro continues to follow the dragonfly all the way towards a stone snake head that led to a cave that their parents strictly told them not to go. seeing Sparx inside of it...)

Spyro: Hey, that's cheating! you know we're not allowed to get in there!

Sparx: Pfffft! excuses, excuses. if you want the game to stop, you'll have to tag me, Spyro! so you either catch up or give up, chunky!

Spyro: (Groans, shaking his head in disappointment) one of these days, Sparx... -.-'

(though a little hesitant, he leaps into the air and used his claws and tail to strike at the stone fangs blocking the entrance, and he hesitantly entered the cave their parents told them never to go into.)

Spyro: now, where did that little hack ran off to?

Sparx: Hey, uhhh, excuse me? has anyone seen a...giant purple thing around here? I seem to have lost mine!

Spyro: O.O' Giant purple...Oh, Sparx. -~- (Follows the afterglow Sparx was leaving behind him, all the way to the exit on the other side of the cave.)

Sparx: ya know, this game is getting a little boring -AHHH! (gets snatched by a baboon like creature.)

Spyro: SPARX! OAO (runs towards the ape that had Sparx in his little cage)

Ape Leader: Huh, I thought all you guyz waz gone.

Ape 2: HAHA! Looks like we hit a Jackpot, aye?!

Sparx: you miserable cowards, LET ME GO!

Ape Leader: HAHAHAHAHA! Don't let him get away!

(several apes came out, happily complying to their leader to go and kill Spyro. he closed his eyes while sitting before opening them again, glaring angrily at the apes that captured his brother and friend. while he was still young, he knew how to fight, as he used his claws, horns and tail to fight off each one of the opponents sent his way. they kept coming one after another, but the little dragon wasn't giving up so easily, no matter how intimidating his enemies look.)

Sparx: Let me out and fight me like a...Monkey...thing...whatever you are! you pathetic wretch! ÒAÓ

Ape Leader: NRRAGHH! I've had about enough of you, you annoying insect! (raises his right leg high above Sparx, ready to crush and end his life)

Sparx: O~O

Spyro: Sparx! Look out! NOOOOOO-AAAARRGHHH!!! (Releases a stream of burning fire from his mouth.)

(the ape leader shrieked as his fur and tail was set on flames, jumping away in pain.)

Sparx: woah! was that fire, dude?!

Spyro: (shocked at the fact fire just came out of his mouth) d-did I just do it?

(as the Ape Leader jumped away from the area)

Ape Leader: all of you, take care of him! I've got to report this to Cynder! (flees the scene leaving his men to deal with the purple dragon)

(Spyro continued to fight through the remaining apes, using his tail, claws and horns, and his newfound ability to breathe fire. after the last of the apes was defeated, Spyro went over to the lantern containing Sparx.)

Sparx: Come on, Spyro! get me outta there, I think my wings are singed!

(Spyro knocks the cage open, setting Sparx free of his little prison)

Spyro: You okay, Sparx?

Sparx: You almost torched me, dude! wait... YOU BREATHED FIRE! OAO How did you even do it?!

Spyro: I don't know, those flames just came straight out of my mouth!

Sparx: How are we gonna explain this to our parents?

Spyro: let's just get out of here... (sighs) we'll have to tell mom and dad about what happened today.

Ignitus: (Narrates as Spyro and Sparx made their way back) amazed and surprised by the spectacle of Spyro's newfound power, the two raced back to tell their parents everything that had happened.

Inferna: (narrates) meanwhile, in the world of humans, the Young Sophie and her adoptive family ventured into a faraway land, where she could meet an old friend of hers in the deep forest.

(back on Earth, Sophie and her family went to the Kingdom of Hyrule for Michelle to do some mercenary business. Sophie ventured alone to the Lost woods to find someone she knew. there, she heard the music of an ocarina. she ventured through to the bushes and trees, and saw a young Hylian boy clothed in green, sitting a tree stump, playing his Ocarina.)

Sophie: Hey, Link! OwO

Link: Hm? Hey Sophie! long time no see!

Sophie: Oh, you were playing your Ocarina. sorry, I disturbed you, didn't I?

Link: Its okay! I was just thinking about where you were, and didn't know you would come!

Sophie: Really? (gasps) that reminds me! yesterday I turned twelve! and I wanted to say, thanks for the dagger! I may not have a sword, but at least I can defend myself with this small weapon!

Link: No problem! sayyy...now that you're here...how about we hang around in this forest for a bit? It gets lonely sometimes since I have no one but Saria to talk to.

Sophie: that'll be great!

(and so, the Hylian boy and the Lythian girl ventured into the lost woods.)

Sophie: God, I remember the first time we met here. when I got lost in the woods at night, and you came here to find me. I was 9 years old at that time. I was such a scaredy cat. -w-'

Link: I can't blame you. anyone who wasn't born in this forest can easily get lost here. they say that there are people who were trapped here for a long time and became living skeletons. (his elf-like ears perked up at a sound of a stick breaking)

Sophie: what was that?

Link: Shhh! (pulls out his sword and shield)

(a few skeletal armored soldiers carrying a sword and a shield entered, surrounding the two kids. Link used his sword to attack one stalfos and block his attacks with his shield. although she is young, she has an experience in battle. little Sophie had her dagger that was given to her as a birthday gift. and gifted with the element of water she was born with, like a waterbender, manipulated the liquid that came out of thin air to release a stream of water at two stalfos, pushing them backwards, although it didn't do much damage.)

Link: woah! where'd you learn to use water?

Sophie: I was born with it! and Its something I'm still working on!

(the Hylian boy looks at two remaining stalfos, and charges at one of them, clashing weapons against it. with the other stalfos, Sophie used her water element for defense, and with her dagger to attack. but the stalfos overwhelmed her as it knocked her over with his shield, and pinned her down to the ground using his leg.)

Link: Sophie!! AGHH! (Gets hit by the stalfos, who then raised his sword to finish him off)

Sophie: Link, Watch out! (gasps when she saw the stalfos raising his sword to kill her.)

(she and Link were in a dire situation. and suddenly, Sophie clenched her fist tight, feeling something about to burst inside of her. she felt... a fire burning deep within her. she raised her fist, releasing a stream of fire from it and towards the stalfos's head and face. it screamed in pain as it got off of her and retreat, before it eventually collapsed when his entire body was consumed by flames.)

Link: Sophie! did you just...?!

Sophie: What in the hell was that...? (looks at her hand) did fire just come out of my hand?

(the remaining stalfos chose to stand and fight the kids. Young Link deflected the stalfos attacks with his shield, and together with Sophie using her dagger, and her newfound power over fire, they took him down successfully.)

Link: and that's that!

Sophie: are you okay, Link?

Link: yeah, I'm okay! but still, how did you...you know...had fire come out of your hands?

Sophie: I...I don't know. its the first time something like this happened before, and... (gasps, covering her mouth) oh no...

Link: what is it?

Sophie: (grabs Link's shoulders) Is there something wrong with me?! am I sick?! imagining things?! OmO please tell me I'm not possessed or anything!!!

Link: Uhhhh.... O-O' No, you look fine to me.

Sophie: ohhh, if I were to tell my family what happened just now... >m<

Link: Hey, calm down, Soph! I'm sure your family will know what happened. I'll be right behind you.

Inferna: (Narrates) and this was the moment that when the young Lythian describes all that has happened to her loved ones, her life will change forever. as would young Spyro's...

(back on Tarlax, in the dragonfly swamp, Spyro and Sparx explain what happened to their parents.)

Nina: You boys did what now?

Flash: (sighs) how many times have we told you two never to set foot or go near that cave?

Spyro: we're sorry, dad. we really am. but after Sparx and I went through that cave, we were...attacked.

Nina: Attacked?

Flash: by whom?

Sparx: by weird looking monkey creatures that we never met before.

Spyro: one of them took sparx out of nowhere, and placed him inside a lantern. he sent his goons to attack me, and I had to fight them. but that was when the big one almost crushed him.

(Flash and Nina gasp)

Sparx: but he never got the chance, thanks to Spyro. but something very strange happened as well.

Flash: something strange?

Sparx: So I was just about to blow the top of that thing and kick that guy's booty. when Spyro let loose with some serious flame dude. no joke. flames...right out of the mouth.

Spyro: Well, I-I was just trying to help!

Sparx: some help? you almost turned me into ashes, dude! mom, dad, you should've seen him! Spyro literally breathed out Fire! he scared the big ugly fleabag off and used his fire breath to deal with the last remaining monkeys that were there! I tell ya, it was crazy!

(Nina and Flash remained silent as they listened to the whole story, and looked at each other with saddened looks)

Sparx: You don't believe me? Spyro, tell them!

Spyro: I-Its true, dad, I swear! I just got so mad, opened my mouth and...Whoosh! flame city!

Flash: Its not that, Spyro, I believe you both. its just that your mother and I knew this day would come.

Spyro: What day?

Flash: the day, that we would have to tell you the truth.

(back on Earth, with Sophie and her adoptive family in Hyrule field)

Link: I'm serious, you should've seen Sophie in there! first she pushed back the monsters with her water element, and then all of a sudden, her fists blaze with fire and burned them into crisp!

Sophie: its true, these flames just came out when I was in serious trouble!

Nathan: you sure you didn't eat anything weird that made you release flames out of nowhere?

Michelle: hmm... its just as I suspected.

Sophie: Huh?

Michelle: Link, thank you for helping Sophie get here safely.

Link: No problem, ma'am! (looks at Sophie) will you be okay, though?

Sophie: I don't know. but I'm sure I'll be fine when I find out what's going on with me that made me...you know... I'll see you soon. I promise.

(with that, Sophie and her family returned home as Link returned to the forest to continue with his daily routine)

(moments later...)

Sophie: Michelle, you said back there it was just as you suspected...can you tell me what it is?

Gloria: yeah, what's wrong with our sister?

Nathan: She's not sick, is she? OmO

Michelle: Now, Now, calm down, kids. Sophie, its time I tell you everything you need to know. so listen carefully. twelve years ago, that fateful night, someone brought you to the doorstep of my home. someone knocked on the door, and I opened only to see you as a baby laying on the doorstep. I'm not sure if it was your mom who left you here... you were the first kid I took in and adopted. and I've always been curious about where you're from, and I did some serious research over the years, and found out you are....might be, well...of a different descent.

Sophie: a different descent?

Michelle:  evidently you have power over water since your early childhood years. and from what Link told me, you now have power over fire. and its not only that, at evening and at night, you always gaze up at the stars above with wonder and curiosity. its no wonder you are different than any of us. in fact, I found out you're from a different world.

Sophie: W-What...?

(on Tarlax, with Nina, Flash, Spyro and Sparx...)

Nina: Spyro, Honey, you're not actually a dragonfly. on the day Sparx was born, your father and I stumbled upon a purple egg that had floated near our home in the Silver River. that was also the day you were born as you hatched from that egg. we brought you home...and adopted you.

Spyro: Huh?

Ignitus: (narrating) so that was the same day, in two different worlds, that Spyro learned that he wasn't a dragonfly after all, as Sophie discovered that she wasn't a human. but in fact, two exiles from an unknown distant land...

Spyro: So...you're saying that I'm not your real son?

Nina: No, Spyro. you are our real son, just like Sparx is. its just that you came from somewhere else.

(Back to Earth...)

Sophie: I'm not...a human...? am I...some kind of a monster?

Michelle: No, No. although you are different, that doesn't make you a monster. you came from a land so far away, engaged in a terrible war that rages on and on, where the brave ones always die.

(back to Tarlax...)

Nina: the ape creatures you and Sparx encountered and spoke of, they are part of a malevolent army that wage a war that went on for centuries, and the innocent always paid a terrible price.

Spyro: Mom...dad...Sparx?

Nina, Sparx: ?

Flash: Yes, Spyro?

Spyro: Tomorrow...I'm leaving.

All three Dragonflies: What?

Sparx: Why?!

Spyro: I appreciate everything you've done for me the past twelve years. you gave me a home, a family and raised me when I first hatched from my Egg. there are no words to describe how much I treasured spending my life with all of you.

(back to Earth, to Sophie who made the exact same decision as she talks to her adoptive family of humans...)

Nathan: Are saying... that Sophie is some kind of alien disguised as a human?! OMO

Gloria: (smacks nathan's head)

Nathan: Ow! what was that for?!

Gloria: you talk too much, you know that?

Michelle: its a high possibility, Nate! but I admit, even I don't know what kind of species she is really...despite her appearing like an ordinary human.

Sophie: I had a fine life here, but I always felt like an outsider, and I still am an outsider. its no wonder that besides you all, as well as Link and Princess Zelda, I never had any other friends to depend on. there are so many questions that I have, and I have to go find them...even if I have to go on alone.

(Michelle, Gloria, Gabby and Nathan, were saddened that Sophie decided to leave. the mercenary even regretted telling her the truth, but she knew she had to do it. for she understood Sophie needed answers to understand her origins.)

Michelle: Okay...just rest for tonight before you head out tomorrow for whatever journey you have to make. you're old enough to go wherever you want now, so I won't stop you.

(later that night, on Tarlax, the dim orange sun had slowly descended and was replaced by the two bright celestial moons. Spyro and his family attempted to go to sleep peacefully, but the events that occurred today. from encountering the apes, and learning he wasn't a dragonfly, but a creature from another land added so many more questions to the little dragon's mind.)

Spyro: (thinking) I can understand why mom and dad never told me anything about my past. because not even they know where I came from. I wish I didn't have to do this, because they raised me, and loved me as their own son. but I have to go...I need answers. (sheds tears from his amethyst purple eyes while falling asleep)

(on Earth, Sophie went to bed, with a sad look on her face.)

Sophie: (thinking, looking at the bright white moon that orbit the planet she was raised in) I need to find answers about where I came from. and who I am. even Michelle doesn't know what I am. not to mention... a world ravaged by war...is that really where I'm from? did my real mother abandon me and left me in Michelle's care? ugghhh...there are so many questions in my head! I know I've always been and felt like an outsider... its just...(struggles to hold back her tears in her emerald green eyes) just...who am I?

(unknown to her, Gabby looks at Sophie with sympathy in her eyes. she was the first and one of the only best friends she ever had.)

Gabby: Sophie-Chan...

Ignitus: (narrates) it wasn't long after that night that Spyro decided to venture forth and find his home...

Inferna: (narrates) and Sophie, after making her decision, was prepared to go forth and discover her origins, that will eventually lead her to her destiny.

(as the morning came on Tarlax, and it was time for him to go on his journey. he turned to face Sparx, Flash and Nina having sad looks as he was about to leave, before Sparx flown towards him.)

Sparx: so you're going to leave just like that? leaving Sparx behind in the old homestead? not a care in the world...don't look back...

Spyro: this is your home, Sparx. but I just found out mine is somewhere else. I need to know what I am and where I come from. the answers are out there and I need to find them. and besides, I'm not leaving you behind, I'm just leaving you where you belong.

Sparx: Well, I thought I belonged with you, 'cause we're brothers, and I'm always with you. but I guess I was wrong, huh? oh, sure, I'm wrong about a lot of things. you know what? you're right, I'm wrong.

Flash: don't worry about him, Spyro. you know how hotheaded he can be. you'll see him when you get back.

Spyro: (looks down, having a sad look on his face)

Flash: Now, Now, son. keep your head up, your nose clean, and use that breath of yours wisely...
all great gifts come with a price.

Nina: don't listen to your father's preaching, Spyro. just be yourself, its all any of us can do.

Flash: Excuse me? what do you have against my ''preaching''?

Nina: well, its just as horrible as a dead pineweasel.

Flash: funny, that's how I describe your cooking. 7~7

Nina: What was that?!  ÒvÓ

Flash: Oh, Nothing. 7w7

Spyro: Mom...Dad... ÓwÒ I love you both.

Flash: (looks at Spyro, smiling warmly) we know, Spyro. we love you too. just promise to be careful out there...and we wish you find the answers you're looking for.

Nina: Take care of yourself, honey. you'll always be welcomed back to the dragonfly swamp, and always be a part of our family. (places a little kiss on his forehead)

(Spyro gave one last smile before he walks away, holding back his tears that threatened to spring out.)

Ignitus: (Narrates) and so, as hard as it was, Spyro left the only family he had ever known, and journeyed to where he did not know...as did the Young Sophie, who left hers to start her journey.

(back on Earth Sophie took her weapons, that being, a dagger and a slingshot and whatever other supplies she could take with her on this journey.)

Gabby: So, you're really leaving...

Sophie: Yeah. I have to go find the answers I seek.

Nathan: How am I supposed to make it through each day without you, Sophie? Q~Q (Sniff)

Sophie: This coming from a boy who called me an alien yesterday? -w-

Gloria: Just promise you'll come back!

Sophie: Hey, I promise I'll return here. I'd never turn my back on the family who raised me.

(the three humans hugged the young Lythian girl)

Gabby: We're gonna miss you, Sophie-Chan! TmT

Sophie: I'm gonna miss ya'll too. -w- (hugs them back, and turns to her human guardian) Michelle...

Michelle: I know you're headstrong, but... (Pets her head) don't be too reckless, okay? and be careful, there are monsters that are bound to pounce at you!

Sophie: okay! I promise I'll be careful! again, thanks for taking me in and raising me as a daughter...!

Michelle: you're always welcome.

(and so, Sophie turned to leave her home as she waved goodbye to her adoptive family and best friend, heading off to a journey that will lead her to her destiny. crossing through the plains, and into the forest sanctum, going so far from her home, she couldn't turn back. fear started to grip her young heart, with each step she has taken. until eventually, within the forest, she discovered something peculiar.)

Sophie: hey, what's this?

(there was a magic portal that was deep in the woods, swirling with shining blue light.)

Sophie: It looks like some kind of portal... why is it right here in this forest?

(A female voice came through that portal, as if the swirling light spoke to her.)

Voice: this portal in the Forest Sanctum was here for many millennia, those who enter often get to where their hearts guide them.

Sophie: uhhh...does that mean...I can go...where I want?

Voice: indeed. but why are you all alone in this forest, child? what brings you to this place?

Sophie: I...(sighs) I recently discovered that I'm not actually from this world. and that I'm not really a human. I wanna go to where I really came from, before I was brought here, to Earth. but I don't know where I'm actually from, so...I'm looking for answers. about my origins, and who I am.

Voice: in that case...step into the portal. and the answers you seek will be found. though I must warn you, once you step in, the road back will be shut. you will be on a perilous journey where monsters prowl upon innocent blood. where a war rages on. or you can remain in this world and continue with the life you've always known. you must decide carefully...

(at that moment, Sophie knew she had to make a choice. she looked back to where she came from, thinking of her adoptive family. but she needed to find answers regarding her origins, and those answers, if not anywhere on earth, then its through this portal that will lead her to another world.)

Voice: now, what is your choice...?

Sophie: I...I...I wanna go in, and find the answers for myself. I know I can trust this portal to take me anywhere I want. even if its to a place I was born in and don't have a single clue about it.

Voice: then, as I said earlier. step into the portal, and what you seek, you will find.

Inferna: (narrating) and so, making her choice, Sophie stepped into the portal that instantly took her to a different world. back to the world which she was born in.

(moments later, as Sophie steps out of the portal, and finds herself in the swamp. she looked back and saw the blue portal behind her close.)

Sophie: (Gulp) well, I guess there's no turning back...! for now I hope...!

(Sophie walked through the swamp, looking around the strange world she was in now, in the same place Spyro was currently in.)

(back to Spyro, he walked forward, shedding tears since he left the only family he had ever known. when suddenly he hears sounds of bushes shuffling, he stopped and turned around.)

Spyro: Uhh...Hello?

(there was no one there...or so it seemed. for the apes lurked at every corner, moving from one place to another. then hears a loud screech that scared him out of his wits)

Spyro: O_O'' (and sprints forward to hide behind a tree, and suddenly he spots something from the rocks before him.)

(the young dragon slowly approached the rocks to take a closer look. standing on his hind legs, and putting his front paws at what it was that got his attention.)

(Sophie looks around in confusion at the strange new surroundings.)

Sophie: what is this place? is this really where I can find what I'm looking for?  the world I was born in, I mean?

Spyro: ... O.O

Sophie: well, better to go start looking around and see what I can find. (starts running off)

Spyro: Who is this girl? what is she doing all alone here? (curiosity filled his mind as he decides to follow her)

Ignitus: (narrating) curious about the creature he saw, Spyro decided to follow her. and, unbeknownst to either the dragon and the Lythian, the next steps they will take will bring them both to a fated encounter.

(the scene changes to another part of the swamp, where we see a sword, dimming with purple aura, waiting to be released from its slumber within the black stones that keep it intact, by one who is chosen to wield it.)

Spyro: (glances over behind a tree, hearing the buzzing sound of his friend) I see you, my little glowing friend. 7w7

Sparx: Seeing and catching are two different things, big boy! (flies off, zooming into an uprising path that led to another part of the swamp)

Spyro: (chuckles) yeah, you'd better run! (follows Sparx all the way to a huge chasm filled vines covered in sharp pointy thorns, almost falling down when part of the ground cracked beneath his front paws.)

Sparx: awww, what's the matter, wittle Spyro, can't fly? Oh, that's right, you walk everywhere, ohhh, that's too bad. (grins teasingly)

Spyro: You're toast when I catch you, Sparx! (runs as fast as he could across the small bridge that collapsed beneath his weight. he made it and continued on with his little pursuit.)

Sparx: Ah, it must be tough losing all the time, huh, Spy-AHHHH!!! (Gets swallowed by a frogweed that came out from the ground behind him. he struggles to get out of the creature.) alright let me out of here, ya overgrown fungus! (tries to punch his way out but fails) Spyro, seriously, lend me a hand here, will ya brother?

Spyro: Gee, Sparx. I don't know...Frogweeds gotta eat too. -w-

Sparx: SPYRO, COME ON! WHACK IT! DO SOMETHING! I'm your buddy! my wings are starting to get all moldy! >A<

Spyro: Okay, Okay! I'll get you out of there! (charges at the creature, hitting once with his horns and twice with his claws with all his strength)

(the frogweed gave out a pained croak as it spat out the dragonfly, and it gave out one last croak before slithering back into the ground. Sparx crashed straight into the dragon's chest, before slithering off and falling on his back on the swamp's soil)

Sparx: Ughhh, gross! now I smell almost as bad as you do! I can't believe how disgusting the insides of a frogweed actually are! hohohoho! and that's pretty bad, see ya later, sucka! XD (Flies away once more)

Spyro: So much for gratitude... -.O

(Spyro continues to follow the dragonfly all the way towards a stone snake head that led to a cave that their parents strictly told them not to go. seeing Sparx inside of it...)

Spyro: Hey, that's cheating! you know we're not allowed to get in there!

Sparx: Pfffft! excuses, excuses. if you want the game to stop, you'll have to tag me, Spyro! so you either catch up or give up, chunky!

Spyro: (Groans, shaking his head in disappointment) one of these days, Sparx... -.-'

(though a little hesitant, he leaps into the air and used his claws and tail to strike at the stone fangs blocking the entrance, and he hesitantly entered the cave their parents told them never to go into.)

Spyro: now, where did that little hack ran off to?

Sparx: Hey, uhhh, excuse me? has anyone seen a...giant purple thing around here? I seem to have lost mine!

Spyro: O.O' Giant purple...Oh, Sparx. -~- (Follows the afterglow Sparx was leaving behind him, all the way to the exit on the other side of the cave.)

Sparx: ya know, this game is getting a little boring -AHHH! (gets snatched by a baboon like creature.)

Spyro: SPARX! OAO (runs towards the ape that had Sparx in his little cage)

Ape Leader: Huh, I thought all you guyz waz gone.

Ape 2: HAHA! Looks like we hit a Jackpot, aye?!

Sparx: you miserable cowards, LET ME GO!

Ape Leader: HAHAHAHAHA! Don't let him get away!

(several apes came out, happily complying to their leader to go and kill Spyro. he closed his eyes while sitting before opening them again, glaring angrily at the apes that captured his brother and friend. while he was still young, he knew how to fight, as he used his claws, horns and tail to fight off each one of the opponents sent his way. they kept coming one after another, but the little dragon wasn't giving up so easily, no matter how intimidating his enemies look.)

Sparx: Let me out and fight me like a...Monkey...thing...whatever you are! you pathetic wretch! ÒAÓ

Ape Leader: NRRAGHH! I've had about enough of you, you annoying insect! (raises his right leg high above Sparx, ready to crush and end his life)

Sparx: O~O

Spyro: Sparx! Look out! NOOOOOO-AAAARRGHHH!!! (Releases a stream of burning fire from his mouth.)

(the ape leader shrieked as his fur and tail was set on flames, jumping away in pain.)

Sparx: woah! was that fire, dude?!

Spyro: (shocked at the fact fire just came out of his mouth) d-did I just do it?

(as the Ape Leader jumped away from the area)

Ape Leader: all of you, take care of him! I've got to report this to Cynder! (flees the scene leaving his men to deal with the purple dragon)

(Spyro continued to fight through the remaining apes, using his tail, claws and horns, and his newfound ability to breathe fire. after the last of the apes was defeated, Spyro went over to the lantern containing Sparx.)

Sparx: Come on, Spyro! get me outta there, I think my wings are singed!

(Spyro knocks the cage open, setting Sparx free of his little prison)

Spyro: You okay, Sparx?

Sparx: You almost torched me, dude! wait... YOU BREATHED FIRE! OAO How did you even do it?!

Spyro: I don't know, those flames just came straight out of my mouth!

Sparx: How are we gonna explain this to our parents?

Spyro: let's just get out of here... (sighs) we'll have to tell mom and dad about what happened today.

Ignitus: (Narrates as Spyro and Sparx made their way back) amazed and surprised by the spectacle of Spyro's newfound power, the two raced back to tell their parents everything that had happened.

Inferna: (narrates) meanwhile, in the world of humans, the Young Sophie and her adoptive family ventured into a faraway land, where she could meet an old friend of hers in the deep forest.

(back on Earth, Sophie and her family went to the Kingdom of Hyrule for Michelle to do some mercenary business. Sophie ventured alone to the Lost woods to find someone she knew. there, she heard the music of an ocarina. she ventured through to the bushes and trees, and saw a young Hylian boy clothed in green, sitting a tree stump, playing his Ocarina.)

Sophie: Hey, Link! OwO

Link: Hm? Hey Sophie! long time no see!

Sophie: Oh, you were playing your Ocarina. sorry, I disturbed you, didn't I?

Link: Its okay! I was just thinking about where you were, and didn't know you would come!

Sophie: Really? (gasps) that reminds me! yesterday I turned twelve! and I wanted to say, thanks for the dagger! I may not have a sword, but at least I can defend myself with this small weapon!

Link: No problem! sayyy...now that you're here...how about we hang around in this forest for a bit? It gets lonely sometimes since I have no one but Saria to talk to.

Sophie: that'll be great!

(and so, the Hylian boy and the Lythian girl ventured into the lost woods.)

Sophie: God, I remember the first time we met here. when I got lost in the woods at night, and you came here to find me. I was 9 years old at that time. I was such a scaredy cat. -w-'

Link: I can't blame you. anyone who wasn't born in this forest can easily get lost here. they say that there are people who were trapped here for a long time and became living skeletons. (his elf-like ears perked up at a sound of a stick breaking)

Sophie: what was that?

Link: Shhh! (pulls out his sword and shield)

(a few skeletal armored soldiers carrying a sword and a shield entered, surrounding the two kids. Link used his sword to attack one stalfos and block his attacks with his shield. although she is young, she has an experience in battle. little Sophie had her dagger that was given to her as a birthday gift. and gifted with the element of water she was born with, like a waterbender, manipulated the liquid that came out of thin air to release a stream of water at two stalfos, pushing them backwards, although it didn't do much damage.)

Link: woah! where'd you learn to use water?

Sophie: I was born with it! and Its something I'm still working on!

(the Hylian boy looks at two remaining stalfos, and charges at one of them, clashing weapons against it. with the other stalfos, Sophie used her water element for defense, and with her dagger to attack. but the stalfos overwhelmed her as it knocked her over with his shield, and pinned her down to the ground using his leg.)

Link: Sophie!! AGHH! (Gets hit by the stalfos, who then raised his sword to finish him off)

Sophie: Link, Watch out! (gasps when she saw the stalfos raising his sword to kill her.)

(she and Link were in a dire situation. and suddenly, Sophie clenched her fist tight, feeling something about to burst inside of her. she felt... a fire burning deep within her. she raised her fist, releasing a stream of fire from it and towards the stalfos's head and face. it screamed in pain as it got off of her and retreat, before it eventually collapsed when his entire body was consumed by flames.)

Link: Sophie! did you just...?!

Sophie: What in the hell was that...? (looks at her hand) did fire just come out of my hand?

(the remaining stalfos chose to stand and fight the kids. Young Link deflected the stalfos attacks with his shield, and together with Sophie using her dagger, and her newfound power over fire, they took him down successfully.)

Link: and that's that!

Sophie: are you okay, Link?

Link: yeah, I'm okay! but still, how did you...you know...had fire come out of your hands?

Sophie: I...I don't know. its the first time something like this happened before, and... (gasps, covering her mouth) oh no...

Link: what is it?

Sophie: (grabs Link's shoulders) Is there something wrong with me?! am I sick?! imagining things?! OmO please tell me I'm not possessed or anything!!!

Link: Uhhhh.... O-O' No, you look fine to me.

Sophie: ohhh, if I were to tell my family what happened just now... >m<

Link: Hey, calm down, Soph! I'm sure your family will know what happened. I'll be right behind you.

Inferna: (Narrates) and this was the moment that when the young Lythian describes all that has happened to her loved ones, her life will change forever. as would young Spyro's...

(back on Tarlax, in the dragonfly swamp, Spyro and Sparx explain what happened to their parents.)

Nina: You boys did what now?

Flash: (sighs) how many times have we told you two never to set foot or go near that cave?

Spyro: we're sorry, dad. we really am. but after Sparx and I went through that cave, we were...attacked.

Nina: Attacked?

Flash: by whom?

Sparx: by weird looking monkey creatures that we never met before.

Spyro: one of them took sparx out of nowhere, and placed him inside a lantern. he sent his goons to attack me, and I had to fight them. but that was when the big one almost crushed him.

(Flash and Nina gasp)

Sparx: but he never got the chance, thanks to Spyro. but something very strange happened as well.

Flash: something strange?

Sparx: So I was just about to blow the top of that thing and kick that guy's booty. when Spyro let loose with some serious flame dude. no joke. flames...right out of the mouth.

Spyro: Well, I-I was just trying to help!

Sparx: some help? you almost turned me into ashes, dude! mom, dad, you should've seen him! Spyro literally breathed out Fire! he scared the big ugly fleabag off and used his fire breath to deal with the last remaining monkeys that were there! I tell ya, it was crazy!

(Nina and Flash remained silent as they listened to the whole story, and looked at each other with saddened looks)

Sparx: You don't believe me? Spyro, tell them!

Spyro: I-Its true, dad, I swear! I just got so mad, opened my mouth and...Whoosh! flame city!

Flash: Its not that, Spyro, I believe you both. its just that your mother and I knew this day would come.

Spyro: What day?

Flash: the day, that we would have to tell you the truth.

(back on Earth, with Sophie and her adoptive family in Hyrule field)

Link: I'm serious, you should've seen Sophie in there! first she pushed back the monsters with her water element, and then all of a sudden, her fists blaze with fire and burned them into crisp!

Sophie: its true, these flames just came out when I was in serious trouble!

Nathan: you sure you didn't eat anything weird that made you release flames out of nowhere?

Michelle: hmm... its just as I suspected.

Sophie: Huh?

Michelle: Link, thank you for helping Sophie get here safely.

Link: No problem, ma'am! (looks at Sophie) will you be okay, though?

Sophie: I don't know. but I'm sure I'll be fine when I find out what's going on with me that made me...you know... I'll see you soon. I promise.

(with that, Sophie and her family returned home as Link returned to the forest to continue with his daily routine)

(moments later...)

Sophie: Michelle, you said back there it was just as you suspected...can you tell me what it is?

Gloria: yeah, what's wrong with our sister?

Nathan: She's not sick, is she? OmO

Michelle: Now, Now, calm down, kids. Sophie, its time I tell you everything you need to know. so listen carefully. twelve years ago, that fateful night, someone brought you to the doorstep of my home. someone knocked on the door, and I opened only to see you as a baby laying on the doorstep. I'm not sure if it was your mom who left you here... you were the first kid I took in and adopted. and I've always been curious about where you're from, and I did some serious research over the years, and found out you are....might be, well...of a different descent.

Sophie: a different descent?

Michelle:  evidently you have power over water since your early childhood years. and from what Link told me, you now have power over fire. and its not only that, at evening and at night, you always gaze up at the stars above with wonder and curiosity. its no wonder you are different than any of us. in fact, I found out you're from a different world.

Sophie: W-What...?

(on Tarlax, with Nina, Flash, Spyro and Sparx...)

Nina: Spyro, Honey, you're not actually a dragonfly. on the day Sparx was born, your father and I stumbled upon a purple egg that had floated near our home in the Silver River. that was also the day you were born as you hatched from that egg. we brought you home...and adopted you.

Spyro: Huh?

Ignitus: (narrating) so that was the same day, in two different worlds, that Spyro learned that he wasn't a dragonfly after all, as Sophie discovered that she wasn't a human. but in fact, two exiles from an unknown distant land...

Spyro: So...you're saying that I'm not your real son?

Nina: No, Spyro. you are our real son, just like Sparx is. its just that you came from somewhere else.

(Back to Earth...)

Sophie: I'm not...a human...? am I...some kind of a monster?

Michelle: No, No. although you are different, that doesn't make you a monster. you came from a land so far away, engaged in a terrible war that rages on and on, where the brave ones always die.

(back to Tarlax...)

Nina: the ape creatures you and Sparx encountered and spoke of, they are part of a malevolent army that wage a war that went on for centuries, and the innocent always paid a terrible price.

Spyro: Mom...dad...Sparx?

Nina, Sparx: ?

Flash: Yes, Spyro?

Spyro: Tomorrow...I'm leaving.

All three Dragonflies: What?

Sparx: Why?!

Spyro: I appreciate everything you've done for me the past twelve years. you gave me a home, a family and raised me when I first hatched from my Egg. there are no words to describe how much I treasured spending my life with all of you.

(back to Earth, to Sophie who made the exact same decision as she talks to her adoptive family of humans...)

Nathan: Are saying... that Sophie is some kind of alien disguised as a human?! OMO

Gloria: (smacks nathan's head)

Nathan: Ow! what was that for?!

Gloria: you talk too much, you know that?

Michelle: its a high possibility, Nate! but I admit, even I don't know what kind of species she is really...despite her appearing like an ordinary human.

Sophie: I had a fine life here, but I always felt like an outsider, and I still am an outsider. its no wonder that besides you all, as well as Link and Princess Zelda, I never had any other friends to depend on. there are so many questions that I have, and I have to go find them...even if I have to go on alone.

(Michelle, Gloria, Gabby and Nathan, were saddened that Sophie decided to leave. the mercenary even regretted telling her the truth, but she knew she had to do it. for she understood Sophie needed answers to understand her origins.)

Michelle: Okay...just rest for tonight before you head out tomorrow for whatever journey you have to make. you're old enough to go wherever you want now, so I won't stop you.

(later that night, on Tarlax, the dim orange sun had slowly descended and was replaced by the two bright celestial moons. Spyro and his family attempted to go to sleep peacefully, but the events that occurred today. from encountering the apes, and learning he wasn't a dragonfly, but a creature from another land added so many more questions to the little dragon's mind.)

Spyro: (thinking) I can understand why mom and dad never told me anything about my past. because not even they know where I came from. I wish I didn't have to do this, because they raised me, and loved me as their own son. but I have to go...I need answers. (sheds tears from his amethyst purple eyes while falling asleep)

(on Earth, Sophie went to bed, with a sad look on her face.)

Sophie: (thinking, looking at the bright white moon that orbit the planet she was raised in) I need to find answers about where I came from. and who I am. even Michelle doesn't know what I am. not to mention... a world ravaged by war...is that really where I'm from? did my real mother abandon me and left me in Michelle's care? ugghhh...there are so many questions in my head! I know I've always been and felt like an outsider... its just...(struggles to hold back her tears in her emerald green eyes) just...who am I?

(unknown to her, Gabby looks at Sophie with sympathy in her eyes. she was the first and one of the only best friends she ever had.)

Gabby: Sophie-Chan...

Ignitus: (narrates) it wasn't long after that night that Spyro decided to venture forth and find his home...

Inferna: (narrates) and Sophie, after making her decision, was prepared to go forth and discover her origins, that will eventually lead her to her destiny.

(as the morning came on Tarlax, and it was time for him to go on his journey. he turned to face Sparx, Flash and Nina having sad looks as he was about to leave, before Sparx flown towards him.)

Sparx: so you're going to leave just like that? leaving Sparx behind in the old homestead? not a care in the world...don't look back...

Spyro: this is your home, Sparx. but I just found out mine is somewhere else. I need to know what I am and where I come from. the answers are out there and I need to find them. and besides, I'm not leaving you behind, I'm just leaving you where you belong.

Sparx: Well, I thought I belonged with you, 'cause we're brothers, and I'm always with you. but I guess I was wrong, huh? oh, sure, I'm wrong about a lot of things. you know what? you're right, I'm wrong.

Flash: don't worry about him, Spyro. you know how hotheaded he can be. you'll see him when you get back.

Spyro: (looks down, having a sad look on his face)

Flash: Now, Now, son. keep your head up, your nose clean, and use that breath of yours wisely...
all great gifts come with a price.

Nina: don't listen to your father's preaching, Spyro. just be yourself, its all any of us can do.

Flash: Excuse me? what do you have against my ''preaching''?

Nina: well, its just as horrible as a dead pineweasel.

Flash: funny, that's how I describe your cooking. 7~7

Nina: What was that?!  ÒvÓ

Flash: Oh, Nothing. 7w7

Spyro: Mom...Dad... ÓwÒ I love you both.

Flash: (looks at Spyro, smiling warmly) we know, Spyro. we love you too. just promise to be careful out there...and we wish you find the answers you're looking for.

Nina: Take care of yourself, honey. you'll always be welcomed back to the dragonfly swamp, and always be a part of our family. (places a little kiss on his forehead)

(Spyro gave one last smile before he walks away, holding back his tears that threatened to spring out.)

Ignitus: (Narrates) and so, as hard as it was, Spyro left the only family he had ever known, and journeyed to where he did not know...as did the Young Sophie, who left hers to start her journey.

(back on Earth Sophie took her weapons, that being, a dagger and a slingshot and whatever other supplies she could take with her on this journey.)

Gabby: So, you're really leaving...

Sophie: Yeah. I have to go find the answers I seek.

Nathan: How am I supposed to make it through each day without you, Sophie? Q~Q (Sniff)

Sophie: This coming from a boy who called me an alien yesterday? -w-

Gloria: Just promise you'll come back!

Sophie: Hey, I promise I'll return here. I'd never turn my back on the family who raised me.

(the three humans hugged the young Lythian girl)

Gabby: We're gonna miss you, Sophie-Chan! TmT

Sophie: I'm gonna miss ya'll too. -w- (hugs them back, and turns to her human guardian) Michelle...

Michelle: I know you're headstrong, but... (Pets her head) don't be too reckless, okay? and be careful, there are monsters that are bound to pounce at you!

Sophie: okay! I promise I'll be careful! again, thanks for taking me in and raising me as a daughter...!

Michelle: you're always welcome.

(and so, Sophie turned to leave her home as she waved goodbye to her adoptive family and best friend, heading off to a journey that will lead her to her destiny. crossing through the plains, and into the forest sanctum, going so far from her home, she couldn't turn back. fear started to grip her young heart, with each step she has taken. until eventually, within the forest, she discovered something peculiar.)

Sophie: hey, what's this?

(there was a magic portal that was deep in the woods, swirling with shining blue light.)

Sophie: It looks like some kind of portal... why is it right here in this forest?

(A female voice came through that portal, as if the swirling light spoke to her.)

Voice: this portal in the Forest Sanctum was here for many millennia, those who enter often get to where their hearts guide them.

Sophie: uhhh...does that mean...I can go...where I want?

Voice: indeed. but why are you all alone in this forest, child? what brings you to this place?

Sophie: I...(sighs) I recently discovered that I'm not actually from this world. and that I'm not really a human. I wanna go to where I really came from, before I was brought here, to Earth. but I don't know where I'm actually from, so...I'm looking for answers. about my origins, and who I am.

Voice: in that case...step into the portal. and the answers you seek will be found. though I must warn you, once you step in, the road back will be shut. you will be on a perilous journey where monsters prowl upon innocent blood. where a war rages on. or you can remain in this world and continue with the life you've always known. you must decide carefully...

(at that moment, Sophie knew she had to make a choice. she looked back to where she came from, thinking of her adoptive family. but she needed to find answers regarding her origins, and those answers, if not anywhere on earth, then its through this portal that will lead her to another world.)

Voice: now, what is your choice...?

Sophie: I...I...I wanna go in, and find the answers for myself. I know I can trust this portal to take me anywhere I want. even if its to a place I was born in and don't have a single clue about it.

Voice: then, as I said earlier. step into the portal, and what you seek, you will find.

Inferna: (narrating) and so, making her choice, Sophie stepped into the portal that instantly took her to a different world. back to the world which she was born in.

(moments later, as Sophie steps out of the portal, and finds herself in the swamp. she looked back and saw the blue portal behind her close.)

Sophie: (Gulp) well, I guess there's no turning back...! for now I hope...!

(Sophie walked through the swamp, looking around the strange world she was in now, in the same place Spyro was currently in.)

(back to Spyro, he walked forward, shedding tears since he left the only family he had ever known. when suddenly he hears sounds of bushes shuffling, he stopped and turned around.)

Spyro: Uhh...Hello?

(there was no one there...or so it seemed. for the apes lurked at every corner, moving from one place to another. then hears a loud screech that scared him out of his wits)

Spyro: O_O'' (and sprints forward to hide behind a tree, and suddenly he spots something from the rocks before him.)

(the young dragon slowly approached the rocks to take a closer look. standing on his hind legs, and putting his front paws at what it was that got his attention.)

(Sophie looks around in confusion at the strange new surroundings.)

Sophie: what is this place? is this really where I can find what I'm looking for?  the world I was born in, I mean?

Spyro: ... O.O

Sophie: well, better to go start looking around and see what I can find. (starts running off)

Spyro: Who is this girl? what is she doing all alone here? (curiosity filled his mind as he decides to follow her)

Ignitus: (narrating) curious about the creature he saw, Spyro decided to follow her. and, unbeknownst to either the dragon and the Lythian, the next steps they will take will bring them both to a fated encounter.

(the scene changes to another part of the swamp, where we see a sword, dimming with purple aura, waiting to be released from its slumber within the black stones that keep it intact, by one who is chosen to wield it.)
