''Three Weeks Later, in the Present Era...''

(it was a typical normal day in Soleanna, and Sonic decided to go visit the city of water along with his friends, such as Tails, Sophie, Amy, Knuckles, Gloria, Nathan, and Gabby, who also brought along the two toons, Bendy and Mary.)

Mary: So, is this Soleanna?

Gabby: yep! the city of water governed by a beautiful princess!

Mary: there's a princess here? OoO

Amy: (giggles) of course! Princess Elise III, who's in charge of this kingdom, and a great friend of ours!

Sonic: in all honesty, this town brings back a lot of memories! some of them were bad too...!

Sophie: I agree. but at least nothing bad's happening here. no Eggman's robots to look out for, no monsters on the loose, and of course no sight of an evil manipulative bitch deity who wants to destroy the world!

Sonic: yeah, there was Solaris...

Sophie: and then there was Vitala...who happened to be from my world. 7~7

Sonic: don't feel so bad, Soph.

Sophie: but still, even if I was brainwashed, I kind of feel responsible for bringing her all the way here and almost end all life on earth. -^-

Sonic: hey, I know whatever you did back then wasn't intentional. you still saved the world, and I knew you for far too long to not know that you'd step up and be the Hero the world needs. besides, that's all in the past now, alright?

(they look over to see a certain red and black armadillo, with blue eyes, and a young yellow flying squirrel with goggles. they were someone Sophie, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Sonic knew from their childhood years and haven't seen for a long time: Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel, in their teenage years.)

Mighty: and boy I can't wait to see just how strong you've become! seeing how you're...a bit...masculine, for a young woman.

Mighty: and by the way, who are those people over there?

Sonic: oh those? they're our friends! the three humans, Gabriela, Gloria and Nathan. and these two little toons, Bendy and Mary.

Mighty: didn't you hear the news? some weird incident happened about a month ago. someone tried to harm dozens of innocent people caught in a fire that no one knows the cause of it, but luckily no one was harmed. save for one guy of course...

Ray: and the thing is, that guy started to fall ill because of a weird mark that suddenly appeared on his chest!

Sophie: a weird mark?

Mighty: there are rumors going around that say that this mark can spread from one person to another, in two different ways. depending on how one gets it. and that man was immediately rushed to the hospital to be treated!

Ray: they say that its some kind of a curse that marks one as a living sacrificial offering to this heavenly god the people here worship.

Gloria: what the fu...?!

Gabby: could it be that some supernatural force is at work here?

Nathan: I dunno! but its Soleanna, a place where people worship a supernatural deity of the sun! and weird stuff happens all the time!

Sonic: okay, I don't know what's going on in here this time, but we'll be sure to take note of that!

Mighty: thanks! do be careful while going around on your own, will you?

Sonic: Heh, you know I can't promise you that. -w-

(in Wave Ocean, we see Ember sitting by the wooden docks, hugging her knees looking very worried. suddenly, she hears a voice behind her...)

Blaze: Ember?

Ember: ? (Turns around) Oh, hey Blaze!

Blaze: mind if I sit with you?

Ember: Oh, sure.

(Blaze sits next to Ember, gazing over to the ocean)

Ember: the view of the ocean looks very pretty from this spot.

Blaze: indeed. especially in a place such as Soleanna.

Ember: just looking into the vast blue sea calms me when I'm nervous and upset.

Blaze: did something happen?

Ember: Oh No! its nothing really!

Blaze: Ember, you know you can't hide anything from me. I can tell when one is being dishonest with his or her feelings.

Ember: (sighs) its just...Aira...

Blaze: Aira?

Ember: She went away, pursuing someone. she didn't tell me the details, but said that she'd return as soon as she's finished. and I haven't heard from her since. I'm starting to get worried...that something might've happened to her.

Blaze: how long has it been since you last spoke to her?

Ember: nearly a whole month.

Blaze: hmm...

(Ember uses her Pyrokinesis to summon a small flame in the palm of her hand, and performs a hand sign with her other hand, like a prayer.)

Blaze: what are you doing?

Ember: its a little trick passed down through my family. since I come from a line of priests and oracles, its something we do to receive signs and omens regarding current events.

Blaze: is that so?

Ember: (turns to the flame in her palm, closing her eyes in prayer) Sacred Fire that burns through time and space. show me what has become of my dear friend, Aira Tempest.

(sending her prayer to the fire in her palm, waiting patiently for the flame's answer. moments later, the fire grew large in Ember's palm, and behold, there was a symbol of a black sun being shown in those flames.)

Ember: ?!

Blaze: what is this?

Ember: A Black Sun, as if the sun is covered by the moon in a total eclipse. this is a bad omen! this symbol is a curse!

Blaze: what does that mean, Ember?

Ember: an evil presence is surely involved in this, which means that Aira is in trouble!

Blaze: in that case, lets go meet up with Silver and tell him what we discovered just now. I'm sure he'd know what to do.

(and with that, the Fire duo headed straight into Wave Ocean)

Ember: (thinking) I have a bad feeling about this! could it be that we are about to face a very powerful enemy?

(the two ran across beach side resort to reach Soleanna's city as fast as possible, fighting off Eggman's robots that stood in their way with their shared power over fire, in hopes to meet up with the white hedgehog in Soleanna.)

(back in castle town, Sonic ,Tails and Sophie were hanging around while their friends were minding their own business elsewhere, until eventually they meet up with Silver.)

Tails: hey, isn't that Silver over there?

Sonic: Yo, Silver!

Silver: Huh? Oh! Sonic, Tails, Sophie! what are you three doing around here?

Sonic: we were just about to ask the same question!

Silver: oh, I'm just here looking for Blaze and Ember.

Sophie: what about Aira? isn't she with you?

Silver: (looks down somberly) Aira is-

(suddenly, they see Blaze and Ember running towards them.)

Blaze: Silver!

Silver: Blaze, Ember! what's wrong?

Ember: Its Aira! she's in trouble!

Silver: Huh!?

Sophie: What kind of trouble?!

Ember: I felt it, a grave threat is swirling around her at this moment!

Sonic: do you know where she is?

Ember: No! I can't feel her presence anywhere here! but I know something definitely has happened to her!

Sophie: what happened? was it Eggman? did he do something again?!

Silver: (worriedly) yeah, what happened to Aira?

Blaze: Aira has gone off on her own, on the hunt for a powerful enemy. from what Ember told me, she wasn't seen or heard from in about a month. which makes it more evident that something bad may have happened to her.

Tails: then we have to go and help her! she knows its dangerous to face something so powerful on her own!

Sonic: but the question is how do we get to her, and where could she be?

Silver: I don't know why but. its as if...she's not here anywhere in the present time period, and disappeared without leaving a trace of her behind.

Sonic: but why? what's going on?

Sophie: (looks up at the sky, the wind blowing through her hair) Aira...where are you?

(scene changes to the dark blue void of the Time-Space Rift, and we see Aira's unconscious soul being engulfed in burning flames. and the left side of her chest, right in her heart area there was a mark of a dark purple sun pulsing to the beat of her heart.

Aira's soul is lost in the void of the Time-Space rift. will she be saved in time, or will she be sacrificed and be erased for all time? the chapter ends when the flames that engulfed the Swordswoman's soul consume the screen entirely.)
