(Sonic watched as in horror as Sophie, who fell victim to Wizeman the Wicked's relentless power after trying to fight him, as she started to glitch in dark magenta color and get electrocuted a few times as if an invisible force was torturing her. she cries out in pain as she unknowingly walked to the edge of a cliff and collapse on her knees, still screaming in pain as she tries to resist the nightmare gods torturous influence.)

Sonic: (desperately, voice shaking) Come on, Soph! you've never let any power in the world destroy you! you didn't even let Solaris' curse crush your spirit! are you really going to start giving up now?!

Sophie: (looks up at Sonic, sadly smiling) you...really are an idiot, you know that...?

Sonic: (tears formed in his eyes, half-sobs, half-laughs) Yeah! h-hehe! I know! ,^~^,

(Sophie laughs, glitches again then gets electrocuted a little from Wizeman's power, as she hugs herself in pain.)

Sonic: Its going to be okay! you tried your best to hold them off on your own while I was away! but I'm here now, and I'm going to take you home!

Sophie: (looks at Sonic again, as she glitches again, half sobbing as tears trickled down her face as she weakly says.) ...Promise...? ,Ó.Ò,

Sonic: (reaching out his hand to her; desperately as tears of his own fell down.) I Promise! QmQ

Sophie: ,Ó.Ò, (shakily) ...Sonic ... ,ÓwÒ, (reaches out to him)

in which, knowing what happened with Sophie as she tried to fight Wizeman while he was gone, Sonic, after an emotional reunion with his loved ones, goes out of his way to save the lythian, his childhood friend that was the closest thing he had for an older sister.

as he fully recovered, nothing in the world was going to stop him now from saving his friend and sister figure as she found herself lost within the darkness of the nightmare realm, trying so hard to fight the deadly influence of the god of nightmares himself.
