''Niwen is my home, an ancient land succumbing to the Decay with the certainty of the sun’s passage from the time of its outbreak. those images are forever burned into my mind. The colossal waterwheels of the Wellspring lay unmoving as it rots beneath its weight, a once-vibrant world lays reduced to a wasteland of biting dust and greedy sludge, choking out the petrified remains of what once was; the Light of my mother, the Spirit Willow is fading, split apart into Wisps and starved for new life. Its inhabitants have grown jaded and fearful, and spirits from across the forest fight with their all, only to fall victim to Decay's gnashing jaws. I watched my brothers, my sisters, my friends, all the spirits have died suffering in despair as they succumbed to the Decay, until I was the only one left alive, and keeps standing to this day, carrying my memories of the deceased spirits of Niwen within me. in my dreams, I often see myself stranded in the strange and perilous land that was once my home, all I want is to flee from its dangers and find my way home before it consumes me outright. but its much more than that...

Niwen is doomed to face destruction, that much is certain. but there are things within that can still be saved and worth fighting for. ''
