I think you should've included "Super Mario Bros. 2" there, considering that's the first game Toad was acctually playable in.
Wario's Woods was a pretty good, and very underated game from what I remember. I acctually prefered the NES version over the SNES one, because I liked the NES games' method for fighting the bosses better.
