An intaglio print I did a couple of years ago of an ol' cowgirl from the Wild West called Cattle Kate.She was accused of being a cattle rustler and was hanged by an angry mob.
The real story is that her neighbor wanted her land, so he started rumors that eventually led to her unwarranted death.
Ahhhh....Cattle Kate.....

Excellent depiction of a sad historical event.
It may be cruel of me, but I really like how Kate's tongue sticks out as she swings from the noose.

Hi! I found your print looking FRANTICALLY for an image that popped into my head and wouldn't go away. I had some book on women outlaws when I was little, and there was an image a so so reminscent of yours that showed cattle kate being hanged, but somewhere in the drawing i could have sworn it said, "i should have listened to mother!" do you know what I'm talking about? Are you selling this print?
