Description
bertie has been passed 63 times! and we STILL want him to be passed moreedit6: stop making print request, I dont think I should have to justify why it wont happy
edit5: ~Year2000Prob suggested I make a scrollbar in the flash, and it made sense so now there is. however, BERTIE IS THE SCROLL BAR! now even if you dont make emotes you get a chance to throw him around (if you throw him against the sides he bounces off
edit4: if you dont know how to make emotes and want learn, click here
edit3: HOLY CRAP A DD! major props to everyone who has joined so far making this DD worthy and thanks to $lolly for his continued awsomeness... but its still not over, If you want to have your emote added then get making! also if you have allready passed bertie you may notice I'm allowing multiple entries
edit2: Ok, the awsome suggestion by =BoffinbraiN of having the different animations link to the artists page has been implemented (well actually the suggestion was to go to the deviation, but I think this suits a little better, as it shows more of the artists stuff
there are some problems with links from flash on dA so for the moment it opens in a new window, once there is an alternative I'll fix
edit: HORIZONTAL SCROLL EXISTS PPL

omg an ANIMATED emote project? YES!!!
the idea is Bertie Raymondo flies into each emoticonists canvas and then is somehow flown into the next, what happens in between is up to the emoticonist
Wait, who is Bertie Raymondo?
Bertie raymondo is the guy you see above getting chucked from emote to emote, his identity is a mystery, all we know is that he is in fact a n00b, therefore anything we do to him is entirely justified
So how do I 'have my way' with bertie and get in on this project?
first of all there is a basic template type thing at [link]
the only things you cant change are where Bertie overlaps with the emotes on either side, everything else is up to you.
when your done upload the file somewhere and send me a note with a link to it.
the file must:
-be a .gif (with transparency)
-50x50px
-be 40 frames long (duplicate frames are ok)
also keep in mind that whatever the framerate it will be set the framerate of the collab file, (I animated at 7 hundredths of a second per frame if that helps)
if it does not match up with the other files (i.e: you change where and when bertie overlaps) I wont put it in and I'll reply to your note on how you can fix it
So how did this come to be?
Well I had an idea to try and start an avatar fad where emoticons would pass something between each avatar when they were lined up, so I chatted about it in #Flashers (as often I do with things) with =Solitude12 who suggested that what we pass actually be an emoticon, and each person can do something to it and pass it on again.
so I made a quick prototype and =Solitude12 went off to make the bertie graphic everyone would use. it was quickly discovered that the animations wouldnt sync up right unless they all loaded at the same time, which wasnt likely to happen. so we decided to make it the project inside a flash it is now
The name bertie was =Solitude12 's idea and the raymondo surname was *Chris-Bowman 's.
we each made a part, and invited others to join in, the rest is, as they say, history (and future, we still want this to be longer y'know
Who is in the project so far?
Just Mouse over the different bits to find out, and clicking will take you to the artists page

I want to join in on this, but I don't have flash and the like, only Windows Movie Maker, which I don't beleive deals with this kinda animation. Darn...this is so cool.
