"You've got to get her registered now." Sophie stood with Sammy next to Codo, who was once again spending far too much time grooming Ben - which the stallion was clearly enjoying, but which was rather detrimental to the planned training. "Please what?" the stable boss startled out of his reverie and Sophie rolled her eyes. Yes, she knew that Codo could virtually sink into various chores, however, it annoyed her visibly. "Sammy. Register. In the Australian Warmblood Association." She drew out the words like chewing gum. Now it was Codo's turn to roll his eyes. "I'm just dreamy, not mentally retarded." the black-haired man growled in a huff, looking closely at the horse around. "Is this going to do any good at all?" he asked doubtfully. "With a mix like Sammy, we don't really gain anything breed-wise."
He was quite right about that, but Sophie was in too good a mood today to let those objections stand. "But we don't lose anything by registering her either. Besides, she has a famous father. And if she does well at shows, why should she be behind the others of her breed? Think about it, other breed associations even mix in foreign blood to refine their breed." Codo eyed Sammy critically, then shrugged. "I don't see the potential for her to make it big, but well if you think so, we can at least send a request to the breed association. After all, they can't do anything less than turn Sammy down." Sophie nodded. "And then we've lost a few minutes at most, which we needed to write the mail. Better than being angry at the end that we didn't even try." she stroked the mare's neck. "Well my little one? Ready to follow in your daddy's distinguished footsteps?"
