The ad said experimental treatment you will never age. Sophie signed up and was accepted. On arrival she was put in a futuristic hospital gown and asked to step into a booth. Circuits whirred around her lights flashed and suddenly 2 pen like arms came out the wall. She felt a stabbing pain in the back of her neck as two more appeared then she couldn’t move or feel anything the arms lit up and began screwing and fixing metal plates to her face. She could see her reflection in the glass and she was starting to look like machinery.

A loud cutting sound was heard as cables joined to ports in her head then she felt her head lift up. Unable to look down she did not see her head had now been removed from her body and as a hatch sucked her old body away a robotic body appeared on a conveyer belt her changed head lowered and then fixed to it. She could fell again and move her fingers but they didn’t feel right. As the arms re appeared and fixed a shiny silver casing to her now mechanical body and face it also cut back her hair.

As the booth opened and the arms released her she stepped forward with a clank her body now mostly robotic she turned her head with a whir she felt compelled to serve and is a robot voice asked how she could aid the nearby scientist they all cheered white the robot tilted its head trying to compute how its question had prompted such a response
