“New year new me” Sophie thought as she left to get the septum piercing she had been thinking about for at least 5 years.

“As she chose the jewellery the piercer said the jewel was especially lucky as some stones linked to certain Chinese new years and this one was the year of the rabbit which was now. A sharp prick and the piercing was in. Sophie admired it and made her way home.

As she looked in the mirror for the 5th time she remembered what the woman had said.
“Year of the rabbit? Maybe I will get to be a bunny girl”

The jewel sparked under her nose as she admired herself again. As she smiled there was a pull in her teeth as if they were growing as she smiled her 2 front teeth grew huge overlapping the bottom ones. She quickly shut her mouth sticking her finger in she felt the 2 giant buck teeth as she felt a pressure above her bum. Feeling under her skirt she was met with a soft fluffy lump of flesh growing out of her rear.

“Ma teef?” She said out loud speech altered by her huge teeth as she cautiously turned as best she could to see she now had the tail of a rabbit sticking out above her bum. Before she could take stock her head pounded and a pull in her ears was felt as the grew out fur sprouting on both at about 4 inches the stood up and crept up to a new position on the top of her head. She panicked which made her new ears twitch.

Not finished yet her shoes started to hurt as she tried to pull them off they were stuck it was like her feet were expanding. Finally pulling them off her feet stretched out longer and sprouted fur toenails turning to claws
And pads forming on the undersides. As her feet grew huge and fur spread up her legs the legs widened and shortened changing shape and bringing her lower to the ground her former knees now either side of her hips and without thinking she pounded her new feet on the floor.

Her nose felt itchy as whiskers extended from her cheeks and her nose shrank pulling her lip up exposing her changed teeth she had been hiding in her mouth. Fur sprouted across her face and spread down her body. The brand new piercing fell out with no place in her new animal shaped face.

As she watched in horror her hands became paws as her new coat of fur reached them her arms shrank back and she stretched as bones cracked and changed determined to retain their form but the act of residence did nothing and after just seconds then found their way to the floor sitting between her back feet her furry bottom and tail flat on the ground.

Her ears twitched and she sniffed the air with her new nose. Sad at how her voice now sounded she didn’t speak out but the thoughts that filled her head were “why? How? And I don’t want to be a rabbit girl” in reality despite the clothes and size she was more rabbit than girl and as she hoped off to another room nose twitching and moving like any normal bunny there was nothing about this that made her feel lucky
