When the Dinobots freed Scorn, Slash, and Scarr, Shockwave was going to experiment on them. By the time the Dinobots got to Scorn, Shockwave had already removed one of his arms. Scorn, with the help of Scarr, created a cure for the mutated forms of the original five Dinobots.
