Here we have Uncle Kion going on a walk with one of his nephews, talking to him about how he is feeling and his current situation.

This is elder Kion in my AU, as you can see he is aging gracefully. I wanting to take a little bit to talk about his main scar and how he gets it and a little about him. Here in my AU, Kion is attacked by the Snake (Cobra I think if I am remembering correctly.) Except the scar from that bite is more like an actual snake bite rather than a claw like scar from say a lion (Like (Scar) Takasa's Scar. Kion is of course rushed to Rafiki to be healed.

This is where things get a bit different, Rafiki is able to save Kion's eye as in from being removed and he still can see out of it though not great, his vision in the eye is affected from the bite being so close to his eye and the venom effecting it (I wanted to have a somewhat decent explination that makes sense as to why Kion would lash out at his guard from when he gets mostly healed from Rafiki to their journey to the tree of life, Kion simply can't see very will out of that side and since it is relatively new Kion is still ajusting to this new life being partially blind People don't just lose all or part of their sight and vision in one eye and are still be able to just function like normal after they are healed from their injured it takes a while to get used to.)

Because of this anyone who comes up behind him or to the side of his affected eye will get an scared but angry kion roaring in their face and potentually resulting in a fight.

Rafiki is also able to get rid of most of the venom out of Kion's body however not all, this is where he is sent to the tree of life and rafiki gives the guard some remidies to help stop the venom from killing Kion and stopping it's effects from getting worse. The Venom still will effect his mental state though mostly his quick thinking skills and his reactions to things.

Once Kion gets to the tree they heal him physically aka the venom first and once he is better from that and in the right mind set to do so they focus on the mental and spirtrial side of healing. Working with Kion to ajust to his partal vision lose and any mental health things he is struggling with.
However while Kion does not lose all of his vision right away he does eventually, he gets told by both Rafiki and the tree of life healers to protect his eyes, (basically protect his eye from the sun). Kion follows the advice at the beginning but quickly ignores it after a while, and years later he loses any sight he had in that eye and is now completely blind in his left eye.

Kion and Rani: Once Kion returns home he is about 2 and a half years old and with not much of a mane and a bit underweight (He did not take care of himself properly on his way to the tree, while at the tree and on his way back home from the tree though this was mostly because Kion's appetite was effected from the remidies he was taking and the venom). Once hearing of the love Kion had for Rani and a few birds sent back and fourth to the tree of life Kion and Rani where arranged to be married (For political reasons that benifit both prides) of course once reuniting with their son kept a propper eye on him making him stay in the pridelands till he was okay again to travel.

Rani and Kion stay married in this AU they just take a very long time to warm up to each other, with the relationship being a plutonic one for many years eventually they have cubs of their own.

As for the other lion in the drawing.
He is both Kovu and Kiara's youngest out of their third and last litter.

Their first litter was born just after the event of TLK 2 (Kiara was pregnant nearing the ending on the second movie, and nobody knew she was pregnant till told everyone the week before she left to go to a cave somewhere within the pridelands territory) In this litter resulted 1 single but healthy male cub named Kiburi which means Proud in Swahili. This cub looks more like Kiara (who looks a lot like Mufasa) so ofcourse he also looks like mufasa with Adult Simba's mane colour in the first movie but lighter and a little less red. Around the time Kiburi was born the pridelanders had now fully accepted the former outlanders.

Second litter was born a few months before Kion's return, Kiburi would have been 6 months old when his younger sibling was born. This litter resulted in again 1 single male but this time a but smaller than the average cub and a little weaker, Unfortuantly for him he does get sick not long after, Once he gets better after the sickness he never trully recovered from it. He is a lot shorter than all the cubs of his age and is a lot shorter than everyone as an adult. He is named Nyulu Intliziyo which the first word means pure and the second word means heart in Xhosa. He looked a lot like Kovu but with a reddish mane.

I chose the name Kiburi because of it's menaing in Swahili as I wanted to show how Kiara and Kovu felt proud they helped bring the the pridelanders and now former outlanders closer together within the same pride there together they where one.
I chose the name Nyulu Intliziyo one because it is the name of Nala's father. Also I like to think Kovu chose it in a way that someone can still look like the evil tryrant Scar but still be have a Kind Heart.

In this AU Kiburi ends up being just like scar almost as the throne and title of Heir is passed on to his younger brother Nyulu. (Kiburi is not fit to rule being the reason.)

After a rather unfortant event resulting in the death of quite a few lions, Kiara and Kovu have no more children till when they are starting to get older and leave their prime years behind that they have an aciddental suprised litter of cubs.

Kovu dies before the last litter of cubs is born. So they never get to meet him. Kiara has the litter and has 4 healthy sons. (I wanted Kiara to be a boy mum, before anyone asked the sons go on to have only daughters, and there is quite a few queens after the the next king)

I don't have a name for the younger lion in the drawing any suggestions would be appreciated.
