I recently finished Inscryption, a videogame that apparently is just a card game, but as you play it and dive in the lore, you get to understand that you are dealing with a lovecraftian horror in a modern setting, including an eldritch horror lurking deep down (I won't say anything else to avoid spoilers!)

Two of my favourite characters were two students from a powerful wizard called Magnificus. One is The Lonely Wizard, who has been testing himself with sensory deprivation and now is excited to finally get stimulation, and the other is Goobert, who "was turned into goo, making his existence full of constant, unbearable pain. Despite his formless body, Goobert has managed to take on or continue a hobby of painting."

Guess who I identified with? ^_^
