Last week my patrons requested me to illustrate the prompt: A character from a book that I love!

This year I read The Books of Earthsea from Ursula K. Le Guin. This huge tome has all the six books from the Earthsea saga that I truly love. She is a very creative writer, with a careful and subtle prose, that worried about women representation in fantasy way before our current times.

Tehanu is one of my favourite characters from the books. I don't want to spoil her story, but what happens at the beginning of ther story is that she was was beaten and abused by a person close to her who later threw her onto a campfire, badly burning half of her body. Help came from the village, and she was adopted by Tenar. She was a quiet child and small for her age, but as the story progresses (in books 4 and 6) we will understand her close relation to the flames.
