Reason for becoming a hero:
When they were in kindergarten, they were an outsider. None of the other children really knew/liked them. That is, until one day, Momoko moved in from Korea and met them. She was the first person to show them kindness and they became close friends very fast. Asher was a late bloomer, no signs of their quirk until the 2nd grade. The whole day they felt off, something was wrong. Something bad was going to happen. Having been selective mute until this point, they tried to warn the teacher about the bad feeling. Next thing the class knew, an armed man came into the classroom. The teacher tried to fend him off but was knocked out. Before Asher could think, they jumped in front of their classmates, arms outstretched. There was a silence. They locked eyes with the man and saw his pain, someone from the school had been harassing his daughter and he wants to put an end to it once and for all. In a small and shakey voice, they'd said 'You can't protect your daughter if you're in jail.'. It was enough to snap him out of it until the police arrived. The teacher got medical attention and Momoko clung unto their side ever since. They were awarded and had a statue made of them in their honor (the statue sits outside the front entrance of the school). Every since then. they wanted to protect others the best they could.
