Okay, so this deviation went through so many changes. At first I decided to draw a detailed dragon out of spite since I think the dragons required for the deviantart dragon badge looked too simplistic. Then I decided to use the design inspired from an adoptable I acquired , before lastly I finished the picture and showed it to an American colleague of mine who decided they would like to pay me 50 USD so she could use it for her book. This dragon picture was literally the artistic equivalent to an emotional roller coaster. The design for this dragon, including all the hair, fire, and bodily details was inspired from Rankin/Bass' Smaug from the 1977 animated film, The Hobbit. The actual animation was handled by a studio called Topcraft although it eventually broke apart and became what is today known as, Studio Ghibli. The point being this is something I grew to love and if deviantart wants me to draw a dragon, this is what I will create.When my American colleague publishes her book I'll make sure to edit in a link to it.
