This is a mixed media acrylics and oils. I happen to be a fan of Bob Ross, he does the most amazing things with a palatte knife and a fan brush, and for years I wanted to apply those techniques to science fiction paintings. Well, here it is, I did the nebula with a fan brush, and the ice cliffs and ocean at the bottom with a palatte knife. Bob, I know you're there right now, dude, enjoying the happy little planets...
