And I don't think the shadow's are that distracting, you've done a good job of making the rider pop from the background..

great capture, shooting through trees with half light and half shade is a bitch, ive found, and using the flash slows the shutter speed which makes the capture so much harder in bright sunlight...or maybe im just a noob. either way the photo's awesome
