-^Rare Lightning Claps Two Hillside Homes^-
-A flurry of lightning lit up the Anchorage on Wednesday night as the flashing and thunder of a powerful storm moved through the area. This photograph shows Challenger Circle near Balto Seppala Park in the Turnagain neighborhood. The bright light to the right is a streetlight. The storm threw the Anchorage Fire Department into a tizzy of activity as it responded to a rash of calls reporting lighting strikes. As of midnight, two Hillside houses had been hit, and a number of other callers had reported lightning strikes near their homes, a fire department dispatcher said. Damage was still limited at that hour.-
