Yeah Eclipse is rather weird but I think it's just the model of car the transformer is based on. I don't even think it has a name.

I would imagine that any Tranbsformer named Eclipse would a space ship or something BIG. But that doesn't take away from the sheer coolness of this drawing! Awsome work!
