I liked Where Angels Fear to Tread so much I did a cover for the first fic, Rapture of the Deep [link]

This actually doesn't reflect what happens in the story much, but it does reflect on the title, which is a nod to Makai's history. Makai is the oldest fan character I still play. I thought her up when I was in high school and she's still much the same as she was then. Pele followed afterwards, but she's undergone such dramatic changes it's almost as if she's a different character altogether.

Anyway, I was a big fan of the Archie TMNT comic series, where the turtles often travelled the world and met with other Mutants. In the original idea I had Makai met up with Mikey in the waters off of Hawaii. His brothers thought he was suffering from 'Rapture of the Deep', a condition suffered by scuba divers where they simply flip out, tear off thier scuba equipment and swim into the depths.

Anyway, I love the look on Mikey's face. It's like: I'm trapped in kelp and I'm drowing, but I'll deal with that later . . . .
