* They hang from the ceiling of areas like the failures ward. Their two sets of ears are both hypersensitive. If they hear a disturbance, they will shriek loudly and fly to the nearest person or Splice of authority to report it.
* Their voice is very shrill, loud, and obnoxious. Their hearing may be sensitive, so it's speculated that they talk loudly to cover up all the noise they hear...
* No one knows if there are multiple ALARMs or just one really persistent one.
