Description     "Hey, mama. Do you remember life before... this? Before the forest?" The colourpoint molly cat asked the creature lying beside her. The scruffy stitched-together wolf gazed off into the distance, lost in her thoughts as her daughter waited patiently for her answer.

"Yes... I do..." The wolf responded, eye closing as her head swung low in mourning. The molly only nuzzled her mother as the wolf thought of how to explain to her daughter how tough life was before the kitten entered her life.

"Lily, there's a reason we live here now. Man... they're not good creatures... I only hope they leave this patch of earth alone, but I know hope won't be enough..." The wolf opened her eye, starring worriedly into the woods they called home. While plenty of animals found comfort in this forest, every single one of them knew that peace was always temporary.

As the wolf became lost in thought again, she remembered the day she saw the helpless kitten, lying in an ally way, far from the eyes of her sister or mutts. How she saw the poor scrap, and in a moment of weakness, grabbed the child by its scruff and ran away from her life, before. Ran away from the slavery she had been forced into by Man. Away from her restrictive sister, and towards where The Failure had told her was safe. The Failure, a mutt under Man's rule, was no longer with them, but the wolf hoped more than anything that they could see her and her daughter now, and know that she was safe now because of their guidance.

"No need to worry about the past, dear." The wolf began, staring at her daughter swollen belly. The molly purred in response to the attention, proud of her unborn kittens, and loving every single one of them already. "After all, we have the future to look forward to. Your kits will be wonderful, Lily, because they have a wonderful mother to raise them."

Lily smiled, happy to be praised so lovingly by her mother, but knew she needed to respond just as flatteringly. "Only because you were such a good mother to me, and you'll be a fantastic grandmother, too." The wolf laughed loudly, barking at the sentiment.

    "Granny Voodoo, can you imagine?"

********************************

Howdy hey! It's your local dumbass, Xane! Back at it again trying to make sense of the jumble that was The Undead.

A character moment! Trying to work on my writing skills, but besides that, people who remember these characters may be surprised that I changed Lily's role so much. Lily is now the adopted daughter of Voodoo! Yup! Have fun with that one 0u0

Anyways, I posted Lily's reference yesterday, but I'm super happy with her new design and story. Maybe one day I'll make an animated short or comic with this story, we'll see I guess :'D

A 2-Part Movie actually sounds really fun with this 0_0 I may have to do that...
